Black car service in the USA, arranged by a Toronto desk
If you need a black car service in the USA and you are flying out of Toronto, or flying into the United States from Europe or the Gulf and connecting through Canada, the simplest arrangement is a single booking placed with one desk. Enroutz.ca operates from Toronto. Across the border, each ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur partner in the city you land in, and the Toronto desk books it, confirms it and invoices it.
That means you deal with one confirmation, one invoice and one point of contact around the clock, whether the pickup is a baggage-claim meeting at O'Hare, a hotel door on the Las Vegas Strip or a Midtown office at five in the evening. You do not download an app for each city, and you do not discover on arrival that the car is a different company's problem.
This hub explains how the US network works, what you need to know before you cross the border, and where each city page goes deeper. If you already know your city, jump straight to it from the list below, or get an instant fare and enter any pickup address.
How does a chauffeur service in the USA work when I book in Canada?

You book once with the Enroutz.ca desk in Toronto and choose the vehicle class. A licensed, commercially insured chauffeur partner in the US city delivers the ride. The desk confirms it, tracks your flight, and invoices you. The booker shows an exact fixed fare for your addresses before you pay.
There are two kinds of US trip, and they run differently.
Rides that start or finish in Toronto and cross the border run from Toronto. A Toronto to Buffalo transfer, for example, leaves from the Toronto desk's own fleet and chauffeurs. You will find the road-trip detail on our cross-border car service page.
Rides that stay inside the United States are delivered by US-licensed partners. Canadian-plated vehicles cannot carry out domestic point-to-point work in the US, so a Manhattan hotel to JFK run, or a Las Vegas Strip to Convention Center loop, is always a local partner's job. The Toronto desk stays in charge of the booking and the quality standard. The wider network is described on the worldwide chauffeur network page.
Partner vehicles are no more than four model years old, and Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach cars up to seven. Every vehicle class and the capacity of each is on our fleet page.
Chauffeur service USA: the cities we cover
Thirteen American cities have their own page, each written around local airports, venues, traffic habits and the way pickups actually work there.

- New York: JFK, Newark and LaGuardia, Midtown, Javits Center and the Teterboro private-jet corridor. See New York car service.
- Chicago: O'Hare and Midway, McCormick Place, the Loop and the Magnificent Mile. See Chicago car service.
- Miami: MIA and Fort Lauderdale, PortMiami cruises, South Beach, Brickell and Art Basel week. See Miami car service.
- Los Angeles: LAX, Van Nuys, Beverly Hills, the studios and awards season. See Los Angeles car service.
- Las Vegas: Harry Reid International, the Strip and the Convention Center at CES time. See Las Vegas car service.
- Boston: Logan, the Seaport, Cambridge and Cape Cod. See Boston car service.
- Washington, DC: Dulles, Reagan National and Baltimore/Washington, the Capitol and embassy district. See Washington DC car service.
- San Francisco Bay Area: see San Francisco car service.
- Orlando: see Orlando car service.
- Dallas and Fort Worth: see Dallas car service.
- Houston: see Houston car service.
- Atlanta: see Atlanta car service.
- Seattle: see Seattle car service.
A city that is not on the list is not necessarily out of reach. Enter the pickup address in the booker, and the desk confirms a fixed quote or says plainly if a partner is not available there.
Who books a US chauffeur through a Toronto desk
Three kinds of traveller tend to use this arrangement.

Canadians travelling south. A Toronto executive flying to Boston for a morning meeting wants the car at the kerb when the plane lands. The desk that sends the car to Pearson sends one to Logan.
Europeans and Gulf visitors on a North American itinerary. A traveller landing in Toronto from London or Dubai, spending three days in meetings, then continuing to New York and Chicago, can have all legs confirmed by one team. Our Toronto airport transfer page covers the Canadian end.
Corporate travel managers. One invoice for chauffeurs in six cities is easier to reconcile than six receipts from six apps. See corporate accounts and the corporate chauffeur service page.
Entering the USA: what each traveller needs
Chauffeurs cannot fix a problem at the border, so check the entry rules before you fly. The authority is U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

- Canadian citizens do not need a visa for ordinary visits but do need a valid passport for air travel. If you hold a NEXUS card, you can use it at NEXUS air kiosks. Confirm your own situation, particularly for work trips, on the CBP site.
- Citizens of Visa Waiver Program countries (the programme currently covers 42 countries, with stays of up to 90 days for business or tourism) apply online for an ESTA before travelling. The CBP Visa Waiver Program page lists the countries and explains that ESTA approval is not a guarantee of admission: the CBP officer decides on arrival.
- Everyone else generally needs a visa, which is issued by a US consulate before you travel.
If you are coming to the USA by way of Toronto, remember Canada has its own entry document, the eTA, for visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly in. The CBP page above mentions it, and our travelling to Toronto guide goes through it.
Entry rules change. Treat the official CBP and Government of Canada pages as the final word and check them close to your travel date.
Leaving Toronto for the USA: preclearance explained
Toronto Pearson is one of the Canadian airports where U.S. officers inspect travellers before the flight leaves. CBP's preclearance programme lists Pearson, Billy Bishop Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa, Vancouver, Victoria and Winnipeg. According to CBP's preclearance page, travellers cleared in Canada skip both the CBP and TSA lines on arrival and go straight to a connection or to their destination.
In practice, this changes how you plan the American end of the trip. A passenger who lands at LaGuardia from Pearson walks out as a domestic arrival, with no immigration hall ahead. Your chauffeur's wait at the arrival point is therefore shorter than for a passenger who flew in from London. Allow extra time at Pearson itself, because the inspection happens there, before you board. Our Pearson airport limo page shows how pickups work on the Toronto side.
Toronto to the USA: drive, fly or take a chauffeur across the border
Which option is best depends on the destination. These figures are approximate.
| Route from Toronto | By road | By air | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Buffalo, New York | About 160 km (100 miles), usually 1.5 to 2.5 hours plus the border | Not worth flying | Buffalo flights, Niagara visitors, day meetings |
| Detroit, Michigan | About 370 km (230 miles), roughly 4 hours plus the border | Short hop, but airport time dominates | Automotive meetings, Windsor crossings |
| New York City | About 800 km (500 miles), a long day | Roughly 1.5 hours in the air | Fly; use a chauffeur at both ends |
| Boston | About 900 km (560 miles) | Roughly 1.5 hours in the air | Fly; Logan is close to downtown |
| Chicago | About 850 km (530 miles) | Roughly 1.75 hours in the air | Fly; O'Hare to the Loop is the long leg |
| Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles | Not a sensible drive | Roughly 3 hours to Miami, about 5 to Las Vegas and Los Angeles | Fly |
Cross-border runs from Toronto make most sense up to Buffalo and Detroit. Beyond that, flying is quicker and the chauffeur's job moves to the US airport. See the Buffalo and Detroit airport pages, and city-to-city car service for longer Canadian drives.
Honest comparison: ways to get from a US airport to the city
Every airport page we write includes this table because the best answer is not always a chauffeur.
| Option | Typical time | Cost level | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rail or metro from the airport | Often the fastest to a central station; varies by city | Lowest | Light luggage, central hotel, travelling at a busy hour |
| Taxi rank | Depends on the queue and traffic | Metered | Solo travellers with no booking |
| Ride-hailing app | Wait for matching, then the same road time | Can be surge-priced | Flexible plans, short hops |
| Hotel shuttle | Shared stops add time | Often lowest or included | Airport hotels, early flights |
| Rental car | Pick-up counters add time | Variable, plus parking | Multi-city road trips |
| Private chauffeur | Name-board or kerbside, no queue | Fixed fare via booker | Groups, luggage, meetings on arrival, late flights |
Where a train genuinely beats the road, we say so. A solo traveller with one bag arriving in Chicago at midday may be better served by the Blue Line; a family of five with six bags landing at 11 pm is not. See also chauffeur versus rideshare.
What a pre-booked airport pickup looks like in the USA
American airports regulate how pre-arranged cars meet passengers, and the rules differ. A few examples from official airport sources show why local knowledge matters.
- Chicago O'Hare: liveries meet passengers on the lower level in the centre lane, and the airport suggests calling your company after you collect your bags. See the O'Hare taxi and limo page.
- Las Vegas Harry Reid: at Terminal 1 limos are on the west side of baggage claim near exit doors 7 to 10; at Terminal 3 they are on Level Zero. See the airport's limousine page.
- Boston Logan: each terminal has its own limo stand, and the airport states limo service is available only by prior reservation. See Massport's taxi and limo page.
- Washington Dulles and Reagan National: only sedan and limousine companies authorised by the airports authority may operate, and reservations are required. See the Dulles limousine page.
Your confirmation states the meeting point for your terminal. Add meet and greet at booking if you want the chauffeur inside the arrivals hall with a name board, which can carry an alias for privacy.
Choosing the right vehicle for a US trip
SUVs are the default for executive travel in American cities, and domestic luggage allowances are generous.
- Executive Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CT6 or Lyriq or similar): up to 3 passengers, 2 large and 2 cabin bags.
- First Class Sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar): up to 3 passengers, same bag allowance.
- Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar): up to 6 passengers, 5 to 6 large bags.
- Executive Sprinter (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter): up to 12 passengers and 12 bags. Coaches of 20 to 56 seats, Maybach, Rolls-Royce, stretch limousine and armoured vehicles are on request, availability confirmed at booking.
All models are "or similar", and the exact car is confirmed when you book. Most vehicles carry Wi-Fi, water and phone chargers. Child, toddler and booster seats are requested at booking. For team moves, see group transportation.
Events, trade shows and the American calendar
Hotels and roads fill in predictable bursts, and a booking made early gives the desk time to put the right partner on the right date. Dates below are the ones we could confirm; others are usually held in the same month each year.
- CES, Las Vegas: listed on the official CES site as 6 to 9 January 2027. See CES transportation.
- Art Basel Miami Beach: 4 to 6 December 2026 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, with preview days beforehand. See Art Basel Miami transportation.
- Academy Awards, Los Angeles: scheduled for Sunday 14 March 2027.
- Boston Marathon: 19 April 2027, according to the Boston Athletic Association.
The full list lives on our trade shows and events hubs, and trade show transportation explains how booth crews and VIP clients are moved on show days.
Private aviation and cruise terminals
Many US trips begin or end away from the commercial terminal. Our private aviation hub covers chauffeur meetings at FBOs, including Teterboro, Van Nuys and Opa-locka. Cruise embarkation days are covered on the cruise ports hub, including PortMiami, Port Everglades, Port Canaveral and the New York terminals.
Roadshows, executive days and discretion
A Toronto to New York to Boston investor roadshow depends on punctuality and silence; the roadshow car service page covers backup vehicles and confidentiality. For long days in one city, book by the hour with an hourly chauffeur.
Chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, and NDAs are signed on request. Enroutz.ca is a chauffeur service, not a security company: no armed drivers, no bodyguards, and the team works alongside a client's own security staff. Talent bookings are covered under VIP chauffeur service.
Service standards on every US booking
- Flight tracking on every airport pickup, so a delay does not cost you your car.
- Waiting time included: 60 minutes after landing on international arrivals, 30 minutes on domestic arrivals, 15 minutes on other pickups.
- Cancellation, measured from the scheduled pickup time: more than 72 hours' notice, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100%. Large events and conventions may carry a different deadline, stated on the confirmation.

Frequently asked questions
Can I book a black car service in the USA from Canada?
Yes. Book once with the Enroutz.ca desk in Toronto. A vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur partner delivers the ride in the US city, and the desk confirms it, tracks it and invoices it.
Do you own cars in American cities?
No. Rides inside the United States are delivered by US-licensed chauffeur partners, because Canadian vehicles cannot carry out domestic point-to-point work there. Rides between Toronto and the USA run from Toronto.
How old are the partner vehicles?
No more than four model years old. Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach cars may be up to seven. The class is guaranteed, the model is "or similar" and confirmed at booking.
What does a chauffeur service in the USA cost?
There is no rate card. The online booker shows an exact all-in fare for your addresses and vehicle before you pay, so the figure you see is the figure you are charged.
Will the driver track my flight?
Yes. Flight tracking is included on every airport pickup, and free waiting time starts from landing: 60 minutes on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic arrivals.
Do I need a visa or ESTA to use the service?
The service does not change your entry requirements. Canadian citizens need a valid passport, Visa Waiver Program citizens apply for an ESTA, and others need a visa. Check the CBP website before you travel.
Can the driver meet me inside the terminal?
Yes, as a meet-and-greet add-on. The chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, and an alias can be used for privacy. Otherwise the confirmation gives the kerbside or baggage-claim meeting point.
Can I book a child seat or a larger vehicle?
Yes. Child, toddler and booster seats are requested at booking. SUVs seat up to six and Executive Sprinters up to twelve, with mini-coaches and coaches on request.
Who do I contact if my plans change?
