Count the large cases, not the people. Two big suitcases plus two cabin bags is the limit for a sedan; a third large case means the SUV. Skis, golf bags, strollers and camera cases count as large items. Six or more travellers on one flight usually travel better in one Sprinter than in two SUVs, and they arrive together.
