How do you get around Las Vegas during CES?
Book a pre-arranged chauffeur for the arrival and departure days, and for any day with fixed appointments. Taxi and rideshare queues swell around the Las Vegas Convention Center at closing time. A private car removes the queue, and the fare is quoted before you pay.
CES is the one week of the year when the Las Vegas Strip behaves like a conference campus. Tens of thousands of delegates are all trying to be at the same few addresses at the same few hours, and the trip that took ten minutes on Sunday takes forty on Wednesday afternoon. This page explains how a CES Las Vegas transportation plan is built so that your day does not depend on a queue.
Enroutz.ca is a Toronto-based black car and chauffeur service. For Las Vegas, the ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed and commercially insured US chauffeur partner, and it is booked, confirmed and invoiced by the Enroutz.ca desk. You deal with one team, receive one confirmation and one invoice, and have one point of contact around the clock. Partner vehicles are no more than four model years old.
CES 2027 at a glance
The organiser lists CES 2027 as running 6–9 January 2027 in Las Vegas, and lists CES Unveiled Las Vegas for Monday 4 January 2027. One of the announced headline moments is a Lenovo keynote at Sphere, which is a separate venue from the convention campus and adds a separate arrival point to your week. The organiser's own site, ces.tech, is the place to confirm sessions, badges and the venue map for your pass type.

Plan the trip around three simple dates:
- Sunday 3 January or earlier: most international delegates land, check in and collect badges where badge pick-up is offered.
- Monday 4 January: CES Unveiled and the first press and investor meetings.
- Wednesday 6 to Saturday 9 January: the show floor days. Departures bunch heavily on Friday evening and Saturday.
If your company has booth crew arriving earlier for installation, tell the desk at booking; early-morning pickups are arranged as ordinary reservations.
The venues: why the Las Vegas Convention Center changes how you move
The Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) is at 3150 Paradise Road. According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the campus is about 4.6 million square feet, with roughly 2.9 million square feet of exhibit space, four halls (West, Central, North and South) and 225 meeting rooms. The authority also lists an underground shuttle, the Vegas Loop at the LVCC, and a monorail connection as ways to move around.

Those details matter because the halls are far apart on foot. A meeting in the West Hall followed by a meeting in the South Hall is not a five-minute walk, and the nearest car drop-off point depends on which hall your appointment is in. When you book, give the hall or the company name of your next appointment, not just "the convention center". The chauffeur then stages the vehicle at the correct side of the campus.
Other CES venues have historically included hotel-based exhibits and meeting suites along the Strip, and the organiser's venue map shows which are active this year. Your chauffeur works from the address on your confirmation, so send the exact hotel and tower rather than a brand name.
You will find the official campus pages at vegasmeansbusiness.com and at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
Landing at Harry Reid International
Las Vegas is served by Harry Reid International Airport (code LAS), which has Terminals 1 and 3. The airport authority also notes lane closures in the northbound and southbound airport connector tunnels for repaving through December 2026, with a recommendation to allow extra time. The airport's notice runs through December 2026, so it should not affect January, but road works on the approach roads shift quickly and your chauffeur checks the live position on the day. Full airport detail sits on our Harry Reid airport page.

The distance from the airport to the LVCC is about 8 km (5 miles). In quiet hours it is a 15 to 20 minute drive; on a show morning or at the Friday evening peak, allow considerably longer. To the main Strip resorts the distance is similar. The airport lists taxis, rideshare, limousines, shuttles, buses and rental cars as its ground options.
With Enroutz.ca:
- Your flight is tracked, so a delayed landing moves the pickup without a phone call.
- International arrivals include 60 minutes of free waiting after landing; domestic arrivals, 30 minutes.
- The chauffeur messages you before landing with the vehicle and meeting point.
- A name-board meet and greet inside arrivals is available as an add-on, including an alias name on the board if you want your company name kept off it. See our meet and greet service.
Your real options for CES week

| Option | Typical experience in CES week | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Public bus and monorail | Predictable on the Strip corridor, limited at the edges | Lowest | Solo delegates on a tight budget staying on the monorail line |
| Convention Center Loop | Fast between LVCC stations, only serves the campus and linked stops | Fee set by operator | Moving between halls and connected hotels |
| Taxi | Rank queues build at hall exits and airport | Metered | Short, unplanned trips off-peak |
| Rideshare | Surge periods around closing time, pickup zones can be far from your door | Surge-priced | Flexible trips when a wait is acceptable |
| Hotel or conference shuttle | Free or included, fixed routes and timetables | Usually included | Hotel-to-hall commutes with no appointments |
| Rental car | Hall parking, resort parking and traffic add up | Daily rate plus parking | Delegates driving beyond Las Vegas |
| Private chauffeur | Waits at your door, no queue, flexible stops | Fixed fare via booker | Fixed appointments, executives, groups, airport runs |
If you are at a single hotel, attending the show every day and have no evening commitments, the hotel shuttle and the Convention Center Loop are good choices and cost less. The private car earns its place on arrival and departure days, when you are carrying luggage, and on any day when being late costs you a meeting.
Hotel to hall: timing the Strip and Paradise Road
Traffic during CES follows a pattern. The heaviest flows are between the Strip and the LVCC in the morning, in the opposite direction from late afternoon, and on the airport corridor on the last two days. Your chauffeur will normally recommend leaving the hotel earlier than you think you need to on the first show day, because the first morning is when new delegates misjudge it.
Advice that works:
- Set the pickup for the time you want to be at the hall entrance, minus the drive and a buffer. Tell the desk the appointment time and let the dispatcher advise.
- Ask for the car to wait if you are returning within the hour. Waiting time is part of the plan, not an exception.
- For a split day, a chauffeur on an hourly booking costs you nothing in delays between stops. See hourly chauffeur service.
- Do not rely on a rideshare for the return to the hotel at closing time; arrange the return in advance if the day cannot flex.
Exhibitors and booth crews
Exhibitors have different needs from visitors. Crews move early, carry cases and demo kit, and need a vehicle that holds luggage and people together. The Luxury SUV class (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar) carries up to six passengers and five to six large bags. The Executive Sprinter (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or similar) carries up to twelve with twelve bags, and is the right call for a booth team arriving on the same flight.
Freight, pallets and display crates do not travel in a chauffeur vehicle; they go through the show's official freight and drayage channels. What we can do is move the people, laptops and smaller equipment on a precise schedule so that your team is at the loading dock when the appointment slot opens. Read our trade show transportation page for how exhibitor days are built.
Executives, investors and back-to-back meetings
Executives usually need the opposite of an exhibitor plan: one vehicle, a driver who knows the route between four or five buildings, and a car that stays with them. A first-class sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar, up to three passengers) or a Luxury SUV works well. Wi-Fi, water and phone chargers are in most vehicles, so the ride doubles as a working space.
For companies with several people travelling, we set up a corporate account with monthly invoicing so that cost-centre references are tracked automatically. Discretion is standard: chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, and NDAs are signed on request. Where a principal has their own security team, we work alongside it; Enroutz.ca is a chauffeur service, not a security company. See executive protection transport for how that cooperation runs.
Evenings, dinners and after-hours
Many of the contracts that matter at CES are discussed over dinner. Plan the evening in the same way as the day: send the restaurant name, the table time and the hotel, and let the dispatcher time the pickup. A chauffeur waiting outside saves the twenty minutes you would otherwise spend in a pickup zone.
Local alcohol laws apply and no drinks are promised on board. If you are attending a late event at a resort away from the Strip, you can combine it with an hourly booking so one chauffeur takes you through the whole evening. Our Bellagio car service page covers a typical Strip resort arrival.
Flying in from Toronto: practical notes
Las Vegas is on Pacific time, three hours behind Toronto, and Toronto to Las Vegas is a flight of roughly five and a half hours. Canadian citizens flying to the United States need a valid passport; other nationalities should check United States entry rules with their airline and the official US border authority before departure. In January the desert is dry and cold at night, and many arrivals are surprised that a jacket is needed outside in the evening.
A cross-border trip from Toronto by road is not part of a Las Vegas plan. Domestic US rides cannot be done with Canadian vehicles, so the Las Vegas ride is delivered by a US-licensed partner. This is the same model we use across the USA: one booking with the Toronto desk, a partner on the ground. Read the worldwide chauffeur network page for how vetting works.
Groups, delegations and large vehicles
A delegation of fifteen or more is a different problem. Mini-coaches and coaches (20 to 56 seats) are available on request, with availability confirmed at booking. For events and conventions, the cancellation deadline can differ from our standard policy, and any difference is stated on your confirmation. For smaller groups the Executive Sprinter is simpler, and you can see how those are arranged at group transportation. If the meeting plan includes many delegates, meetings, incentives and conferences explains how a dispatcher runs the programme.
Other Las Vegas shows we cover
Las Vegas hosts many conventions. If your calendar also includes them, our pages for NAB Show and SEMA Show set out the venue and timing notes. Our general Las Vegas car service page covers the city when no show is on, and the trade shows hub lists every event we cover.
How booking works
Open the booker, enter the pickup address, the destination and the time, and choose the vehicle class. The booker shows the exact all-in fare for your exact addresses and vehicle before you pay, so there is nothing to negotiate at the kerb. Vehicle classes are "or similar", and the model is confirmed at booking. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request when you book.
Cancellation: more than 72 hours' notice, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less or no-show, 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. Large events and conventions may carry a different deadline, stated on the confirmation.
Frequently asked questions
When is CES 2027 and where is it?
The organiser lists CES 2027 for 6–9 January 2027 in Las Vegas, with CES Unveiled on 4 January. The main exhibits are at the Las Vegas Convention Center campus at 3150 Paradise Road, with additional venues across the city. Check ces.tech for your pass type.
How far is the Las Vegas Convention Center from the airport?
About 8 km (5 miles) from Harry Reid International. Off-peak the drive is usually 15 to 20 minutes. On show days it can be much longer, which is why a pre-booked car with flight tracking is more reliable than a queue.
Do I need a chauffeur for every day of CES?
No. Many delegates book a private car only for arrival, departure and any day with a tight appointment schedule, and use hotel shuttles or the Convention Center Loop at other times. The booker lets you reserve separate single trips.
Can a chauffeur wait for me at the convention center?
Yes. On a one-way transfer, a short wait is part of the booking terms: 15 minutes on non-airport pickups. For longer waits or multiple stops, book the vehicle by the hour so the chauffeur stays with you.
Which vehicle should I choose for a booth team?
Up to six people with five to six large bags fit a Luxury SUV. A team of up to twelve with twelve bags fits an Executive Sprinter. For larger groups ask for a mini-coach; availability is confirmed at booking.
How does my flight delay affect the pickup?
Your flight is tracked, so the chauffeur adjusts to the actual landing time. Free waiting after landing is 60 minutes on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic arrivals.
Can you arrange a name-board meet and greet at Harry Reid?
Yes, as an add-on. The chauffeur or greeter holds a name board inside arrivals, and an alias name can be used on the board for privacy. Ask for it when you book.
Is the fare quoted before I pay?
Yes. The booker shows the exact fare for your pickup, destination and vehicle before you confirm. Enroutz.ca does not publish fares on its pages because the figure depends on your addresses, the time and the vehicle.
Are you a security company?
No. Enroutz.ca provides licensed chauffeurs and vehicles. We work alongside a client's own security team but do not supply bodyguards or armed drivers.
