How do I book a car service from Toronto to Niagara Falls?
Enter your Toronto or Pearson pickup and your Niagara Falls destination in the online booker, pick a vehicle and see the fixed fare before you pay. An Enroutz.ca chauffeur from the Toronto desk drives the QEW leg and, if you ask, stays with you for the day.
Niagara Falls is the single most requested day trip from Toronto, and the way you reach it shapes the rest of the day. A scheduled bus runs to a timetable that is not yours. A rental car puts the driving, the parking and the return-journey fatigue on you. A group tour sets the pace for forty people. A private chauffeur does the opposite: the vehicle leaves when you are ready, goes where you want, waits while you walk to the railings, and brings you back when you decide.
Because Niagara Falls is in Ontario, the trip is operated from the Toronto desk by Enroutz.ca, with the same licensed and commercially insured chauffeurs and vehicles used for airport and city work. The online booker takes a pickup and destination anywhere in the province, shows a fixed fare, and sends one confirmation.
How far is Niagara Falls from Toronto and Pearson?
Two figures cover most enquiries.

- Pearson Airport to Niagara Falls: about 122 km by road, or roughly 76 miles. A route planner estimates about 1 hour 23 minutes. Travel guides commonly quote 75 to 90 minutes.
- Downtown Toronto to Niagara Falls: about 130 km, or roughly 81 miles, by the same highway, with similar timing.
Both are planning figures. Traffic on the Queen Elizabeth Way (the QEW), the main highway between Toronto and the Niagara Peninsula, is the biggest variable. On summer weekends and holidays the drive can exceed two hours, and travel guides agree that Sunday afternoon and evening, when day-trippers return to Toronto, is the worst window of the week.
The route follows the lakeshore: out through Mississauga and Oakville, across the Burlington Skyway, past Hamilton and Grimsby, through St. Catharines and into Niagara Falls. Because Pearson sits on the western side of Toronto, it is slightly closer to Niagara than downtown is, which is why many visitors fly into Pearson and go straight to the Falls.
For exact time and a fixed fare for your own hotel or terminal, the booker is the quickest guide.
Toronto to Niagara Falls: how the options compare
Which option is best depends on the number of people, the luggage and how much of the day you want to spend at the Falls rather than on the road.

| Option | Typical time | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scheduled intercity bus | Longer than driving and tied to a timetable | Lowest | Solo travellers who want the lowest-cost option and can fit the schedule |
| Group day tour by coach | A full day, with set stops | Per-person pricing, shared vehicle | Travellers who want a guide and are happy with a fixed itinerary |
| Taxi | About the same as driving, subject to QEW traffic | Metered or quoted by the driver | An unplanned one-way transfer |
| Rideshare | About the same as driving, subject to QEW traffic | Surge-priced at peak | Short, flexible trips where a driver is available |
| Rental car | Your own driving time, plus parking at the Falls | Rental cost plus fuel and parking | Confident drivers who want complete independence |
| Private chauffeur (Enroutz.ca) | About 75 to 90 minutes each way in normal traffic | Fixed fare via the booker | Families, groups, small business parties and anyone who wants to set the pace |
An honest note: if you are travelling alone with a daypack and want the lowest-cost route, a scheduled bus or an organised tour is the better answer. A private chauffeur earns its place with two or more travellers, with luggage, with children, or when you want to combine the Falls with another stop, such as wine country.
What you will see at the Falls
Niagara Falls is more than the cascade itself. Niagara Parks, the agency that manages the parkland along the river, lists a cluster of attractions on its official site, including:

- Journey Behind the Falls, a tour that takes visitors behind the falls, with a "Journey at Night" option.
- Niagara City Cruises, boat tours on the Niagara River that take you close to Horseshoe Falls.
- The White Water Walk, a path beside the river rapids.
- Niagara Parks Power Station, which includes an underground tunnel experience.
- The Butterfly Conservatory, an indoor garden with free-flying butterflies.
- The Niagara Parkway, a 56 km scenic drive with views and historic structures along the river.
Many of these have separate entry arrangements, so check the attraction pages for tickets and opening times. The city's tourism site, Visit Niagara Falls, adds the entertainment district of Clifton Hill and Fallsview Casino Resort to the list.
Planning tip: the busiest times at the railings are the middle of the day in summer. If your schedule is flexible, a morning arrival and an early lunch leaves the afternoon for the Niagara Parkway or a winery, and returns you to Toronto before the evening queue.
The Falls at night: illumination and fireworks
Evening is when many visitors choose to go. According to Niagara Parks, the falls are lit every evening starting at dusk, with the start time changing through the year from about 4:30 p.m. in November and December to about 8:30 p.m. in late May through July. The lights run until 1 a.m. from January to 11 March and until 2 a.m. from 12 March through December. The viewing area is Queen Victoria Park, and the lighting has been funded and operated by the Niagara Falls Illumination Board since 1925. In 2016 the older xenon lights were replaced with programmable LEDs. Details are on the Niagara Parks illumination page.

Niagara Parks also lists a separate fireworks series. Dates vary by season, so check its calendar before building an evening around it.
A night at the Falls changes the logistics. The return journey is in the dark, the QEW is quiet late in the evening, and you will want the chauffeur waiting rather than a vehicle to find. Tell the desk your planned finish time, and we will schedule the return accordingly.
Niagara-on-the-Lake and wine country
Beyond the Falls, the Niagara Peninsula is Ontario's main wine region. The most popular base for visitors is the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, whose visitor website highlights its heritage streets, boutiques, wineries and the Shaw Festival theatre. The distance from the Falls to Niagara-on-the-Lake is roughly 25 km, usually 25 to 30 minutes, and most of the pleasant route follows the Niagara Parkway. From Toronto, Niagara-on-the-Lake is about 135 km, typically around two hours.
A winery day is where a chauffeur matters most. Wine tastings are a pleasure, and nobody should be driving afterwards. The vehicle waits at each stop, carries the bottles you buy and takes you back to your hotel or to Toronto. Please note that Enroutz.ca never promises drinks on board, and local law applies to any vehicle.
Practical suggestions for a winery day:
- Book the vehicle for the whole day and tell the desk the winery sequence, or let the vehicle remain flexible by using the hourly chauffeur service described on the hourly chauffeur page.
- Check winery opening times and tasting reservations; some require advance booking.
- Leave room in the vehicle for purchases. A Luxury SUV carries up to six passengers and five to six large bags.
Our private tours with a driver page gives other combinations, such as the falls plus a wine route or a night at the illumination.
Crossing to the United States from Niagara
Niagara Falls is also a border town. The Niagara Falls Bridge Commission operates three bridges: the Rainbow Bridge, the Whirlpool Rapids Bridge and the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge. According to the commission's website, the Whirlpool Rapids Bridge is for NEXUS holders only, while the Rainbow and Lewiston-Queenston bridges have regular auto lanes. The commission publishes a live traffic table showing border wait times, which is worth checking before you leave. See the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission.
On the American side, US Customs and Border Protection says all persons arriving at a port of entry are subject to inspection, that an ESTA approval under the Visa Waiver Program does not settle entry because officers make the final admissibility decision, and that trusted traveller programmes such as NEXUS can speed entry. Check the CBP guidance for international visitors for the documents required for your nationality.
How Enroutz.ca handles cross-border trips:
- A trip from Toronto, Pearson or Niagara Falls, Ontario to a US destination runs from Toronto with an Enroutz.ca vehicle.
- A ride that stays entirely inside the United States is delivered by a US-licensed partner, because Canadian-plated vehicles cannot perform domestic point-to-point work there. The Toronto desk books, confirms and invoices it as one booking.
- Travellers who want to fly from Buffalo can read our Buffalo airport page and the cross-border car service page.
Bring the right documents: a passport for everyone in the vehicle, including children, and any visa or electronic authorisation your nationality requires for the country you are entering. For Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada states that visa-exempt visitors flying in need an eTA, that US citizens are exempt, and that the fee is CAD $7 as of 2026. Most applications are approved within minutes; you can apply on the official eTA page.
Sample itineraries from Toronto and Pearson
Three common plans, with approximate times so you can see how a day fits together. The booker shows exact fares for any of them.
The half-day. Leave Pearson or your downtown hotel mid-morning. The drive is about 75 to 90 minutes. Spend two to three hours at Queen Victoria Park and the Journey Behind the Falls, eat lunch and return to Toronto in the afternoon. A good option for travellers with a layover or a free afternoon.
The full day with wine. Leave Toronto early, reach the Falls in time for the first cruise or walk, drive the Niagara Parkway to Niagara-on-the-Lake (roughly 25 km), visit two or three wineries and have dinner in town. Return to Toronto about 135 km later, in the dark and usually in light traffic. The vehicle stays with you all day.
The evening. Arrive in late afternoon, have dinner, see the illumination at dusk and return to Toronto after. The evening return is quicker than the Sunday-afternoon one, which can be heavy in summer.
For corporate groups, group transportation explains how an Executive Sprinter for up to 12 passengers or a mini-coach of 20 to 56 seats can be arranged.

Fares, waiting time and cancellation
The online booker shows a fixed, all-in fare for your exact addresses and vehicle before you pay. Free waiting covers 60 minutes after landing for international arrivals, 30 minutes for domestic arrivals and 15 minutes for other pickups. If you want the vehicle to stay with you for a full day at the Falls, the hourly option is the right choice.
Cancellations are measured from the scheduled pickup. More than 72 hours' notice carries no charge; 72 hours or less 10%; 48 hours or less 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show 100%. Large events and conventions may carry a different deadline, stated on the confirmation.
More of Ontario and beyond
If Niagara is part of a longer visit, these pages may help: black car service in Toronto, Pearson Airport limo service, Oakville and Mississauga on the route, the Ontario overview and the city-to-city car service page for longer intercity drives.
