Chauffeur service in the Middle East, booked from Toronto
If you want a chauffeur service in the Middle East, the simplest way to buy it is the way you would buy it at home: one booking, one confirmation, one invoice and one desk you can reach at any hour. Enroutz.ca runs that desk from Toronto. In the Gulf the car and the chauffeur come from a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local partner; the booking, the confirmation and the invoice stay with us.
This page is the hub for the Gulf and the wider region. It covers seven cities in depth, each with its own page: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Riyadh, Jeddah, Bahrain and Muscat. It also explains the things a first-time visitor from Canada, the USA or Europe is rarely told: which days are the weekend, how Ramadan changes the working day, what to wear, and what to check before you fly.
The booker accepts any pickup worldwide. Enter the airport, hotel or venue and the desk confirms a fixed quote, shown before you pay.
What is the best way to book a car with a driver in the Gulf?

Book a pre-arranged chauffeur through one desk before you fly. Your driver tracks the flight and waits at arrivals, and the fare is fixed and shown before you pay. In Toronto the Enroutz.ca fleet drives; in the Gulf a vetted local partner drives, with Enroutz.ca confirming and invoicing.
The reasons are practical. Gulf airports are large and far from many hotels, and arrivals often land at three in the morning. A pre-arranged chauffeur removes the hardest first hour of a trip: finding the right pickup point after a long flight and agreeing a price in a language that is not yours.
Check the official travel advice before you book
Honesty first. In 2026 the security situation in the region has been volatile, and Global Affairs Canada has issued advice for each Gulf country. At the time of writing in October 2026, its pages for the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman all carry the level "Avoid non-essential travel", citing the volatile security situation in the region. The Saudi page adds a stricter "avoid all travel" level for the Asir, Jazan and Najran provinces and for areas within 30 km of the Yemen border.

We are not a government and we do not second-guess those pages. Whether you travel is your decision, or your employer's, or your security adviser's. What we can promise is operational: the desk will tell you plainly if a partner cannot cover a date, if a flight change affects a pickup, or if an event organiser has changed a schedule. Advice changes quickly, so read the live page the week you fly.
Where we cover in the Gulf
Each city page is written around the real logistics of that city: terminals, distances, tolls, venues and local rules.

- Dubai chauffeur service: three DXB terminals, Salik tolls, DIFC, Downtown, Palm Jumeirah and the December 2026 GITEX show at Expo City Dubai.
- Abu Dhabi chauffeur service: Zayed International Airport, Saadiyat, Yas Island and the Dubai run of roughly 140 km.
- Doha chauffeur service: Hamad International, West Bay, Education City and Lusail.
- Riyadh chauffeur service: King Khalid International's five terminals, KAFD and the distances of a very large city.
- Jeddah chauffeur service: the Corniche, historic Al-Balad and clear, respectful guidance on Makkah access.
- Bahrain chauffeur service: Manama, Muharraq and the King Fahd Causeway.
- Muscat chauffeur service: Seeb airport, Muttrah, Nizwa and the desert.
Kuwait is also covered at the airport level; see Kuwait International (KWI).

How one Toronto booking covers a Gulf ride
Enroutz.ca's own cars and chauffeurs work in Toronto, the GTA and Ontario. Everywhere else, including the Gulf, the ride is delivered by a local chauffeur partner that is vetted, licensed and commercially insured, and the Toronto desk books it, confirms it and invoices it. That means:
- One booking and one confirmation, however many cities are on the itinerary.
- One invoice, which suits a finance department or an executive assistant.
- One point of contact at the desk, 24 hours a day.
- Partner vehicles no more than four model years old; Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach up to seven.
- A fixed fare, quoted before you pay, for the exact addresses and the exact vehicle.
We say clearly that Enroutz.ca does not own vehicles or offices in the Gulf. The value is in the vetting, the single point of accountability and the fact that someone in Toronto is awake when your flight is delayed. Weekends, prayer and the working week
Plan around the local week, not your own. Per government and press sources, the UAE moved its federal weekend to Saturday and Sunday on 1 January 2022, with a shorter Friday for government staff. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman keep Friday and Saturday as the weekend. That has three consequences for a visitor.
First, a Thursday evening in the UAE is a weekend evening, and the roads show it. Second, in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman the first working day is Sunday, so Sunday morning is when meetings begin and traffic builds. Third, Friday midday prayers pause business in many places; Visit Qatar notes that commercial activity stops for Friday prayers, roughly 10 am to 12 pm, and that several shops stay closed on Fridays while malls open in the afternoon.
Give your chauffeur and your hosts the real meeting times and let the desk work back from them. A pickup that looks easy on a Tuesday can be slow on a Thursday night.
Ramadan and Eid in 2027
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 7 to 8 February 2027, depending on the moon sighting, and Eid al-Fitr is expected around 9 to 10 March, according to Gulf press projections and the Canadian travel advice pages. Dates are confirmed by each country's moon-sighting authority, so treat them as projections.
During Ramadan, the Government of Canada asks visitors to the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman not to eat, drink or smoke in public between sunrise and sunset, and asks for discretion in Saudi Arabia. In the UAE, restaurants in Abu Dhabi and Dubai stay open and most government offices keep reduced hours. Water in the vehicle is there for you, but keep it out of sight on the street and in public places during fasting hours.
Evenings are busy after sunset, and business meetings are squeezed into shorter daytime hours. Build slack into the day and tell the desk about early pickups.
Dress, behaviour and the law: a short, respectful guide
None of this is hard, and all of it is appreciated.
- Dress modestly. Shoulders and knees covered is a safe baseline in public everywhere in the Gulf. The Government of Canada notes that in the UAE women are not required to cover their heads but revealing clothing is considered inappropriate; in Saudi Arabia it asks men and women to dress modestly and avoid tight clothing; in Bahrain women should cover arms and legs and men should not wear shorts in public.
- Mosques have their own rules. Women cover their hair, everyone covers shoulders and knees, and visiting hours for non-Muslims are posted by each mosque.
- Keep affection private. Public displays of affection, including hand-holding, draw attention in several of these countries.
- Alcohol is tightly controlled. In the UAE it is allowed in private homes and licensed venues only. In Oman it is limited to licensed hotels. In Qatar public drinking is illegal. Saudi Arabia applies zero tolerance. In Bahrain non-Muslims can buy it at special stores. We never promise drinks on board; local law applies.
- Ask before you photograph. People, government buildings, military sites and mosques are sensitive subjects, and several countries require authorisation for drones.
- Zero tolerance on drugs, and zero blood-alcohol for drivers. Prescription medicines legal in Canada can be restricted abroad; check before you pack.
Airports and terminals worth knowing
| City | Airport | Pickup note | Our page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dubai | DXB, with DWC for some operators | Terminal 3 is Emirates; most other international carriers use Terminal 1 | Dubai DXB |
| Abu Dhabi | AUH Zayed International | One terminal, Terminal A, since late 2023 | Abu Dhabi AUH |
| Doha | DOH Hamad International | One passenger terminal with several concourses | Doha DOH |
| Riyadh | RUH King Khalid International | Five terminals; foreign carriers at Terminal 5 | Riyadh RUH |
| Jeddah | JED King Abdulaziz International | Terminal 1, North Terminal and a seasonal Hajj Terminal | Jeddah JED |
| Bahrain | BAH Bahrain International | Modern terminal opened in 2021 on Muharraq island | Bahrain BAH |
| Muscat | MCT Muscat International | One terminal opened in March 2018 | Muscat MCT |
Terminal allocations change when airlines move, so your confirmation names the terminal for your flight and your chauffeur tracks the arrival, not the schedule. Private jet passengers can read about Dubai business aviation, and cruise passengers about Dubai's cruise terminal. All airport pickups are covered in our airports hub.
Business, conferences and events
Much Gulf travel is business travel, and it clusters around a handful of venues and shows. GITEX Global 2026 is scheduled for 7 to 11 December 2026 at Expo City Dubai, with a one-day summit on 7 December and the expo from 8 to 11 December, according to the organiser's GITEX Global page. See our GITEX transport page and the Arabian Travel Market page for show-day logistics, and the trade shows hub for the wider calendar.
Formula 1 shows why we say "check before you book". The official 2026 calendar lists Qatar at Lusail on 27 to 29 November and Abu Dhabi at Yas Marina on 4 to 6 December, but shows the Bahrain round run in Malaysia and no Saudi round this year. Our pages carry only what organisers have confirmed.
For delegations, we offer corporate accounts with monthly invoicing, meetings, incentives and conferences transport and group transport. Hourly work is described on the hourly chauffeur page.
Vehicles that suit Gulf roads
Vehicle classes are quoted "or similar", with the exact model confirmed at booking.
- Executive Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar) and First Class Sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar): up to 3 passengers, 2 large and 2 cabin bags.
- Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar): up to 6 passengers and 5 to 6 large bags.
- Executive Sprinter: up to 12 passengers and 12 bags. Mini-coach and coach, 20 to 56 seats, on request.
- Maybach, Rolls-Royce, stretch limousine and armoured vehicles: on request, availability confirmed at booking.
Most vehicles carry Wi-Fi, water and phone chargers, and child seats are available on request. See the fleet page.
Enroutz.ca is a chauffeur service, not a security company. We do not provide armed drivers or bodyguards. If you travel with your own protection team, our partners work alongside it; see executive protection transport and VIP chauffeur discretion.
Flying from Toronto to the Gulf, and arriving in Toronto from it
Many readers start in Toronto. If you are flying from Toronto to Dubai, Doha or Riyadh, the Toronto desk can collect you at home or at the office and take you to Pearson, then arrange the Gulf pickup as part of the same booking. See the Pearson airport page for the Toronto side.
Others come the other way. If you are arriving in Toronto from Dubai, Doha or Riyadh, the Toronto fleet meets you at Pearson with flight tracking and, on international arrivals, 60 minutes of free waiting after landing. A name board inside arrivals is available as an add-on, with an alias on the board for privacy on request; read about the meet and greet service, the Toronto airport transfer guide and the inbound visitor guide.
How the options compare
| Option | Typical time | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-booked chauffeur via Enroutz.ca | Door to door, with flight tracking | Fixed fare via booker | First visits, late arrivals, executives, families with luggage |
| Airport taxi rank | Immediate, queue varies | Metered | Spontaneous arrivals with simple destinations |
| Ride-hailing app | Wait for a car, varies by airport | Surge-priced at peak | Confident users with a local SIM and light bags |
| Metro or airport bus | Longest, fixed routes | Lowest | Light luggage, daytime, near a station |
| Rental car | Pickup queue, then you drive | Metered by day plus fuel and tolls | Long self-drive trips with local licence knowledge |
The metro or bus is often right for a traveller with one bag and a hotel beside a station. A chauffeur wins on night arrivals, family trips and pre-meeting arrivals. See our chauffeur versus rideshare guide.
Frequently asked questions
Can I book a chauffeur in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh from Canada?
Yes. Enter the pickup in the booker or contact the desk. The Toronto desk books a licensed local partner, confirms the car and the terminal, and sends one invoice. The fare is fixed and shown before you pay.
Does Enroutz.ca own cars or offices in the Gulf?
No. Outside Toronto, the GTA and Ontario, rides are delivered by vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur partners. Enroutz.ca books, confirms and invoices every ride, and you deal with one desk throughout.
What is the weekend in the Gulf?
The UAE uses Saturday and Sunday for its federal weekend. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman use Friday and Saturday. Check local business hours for any meeting or errand, especially around Friday midday prayers.
When is Ramadan in 2027?
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 7 to 8 February 2027 and Eid al-Fitr around 9 to 10 March 2027, depending on the moon sighting. Public eating, drinking and smoking by day should be avoided; the desk can adjust pickup times.
What should women wear when travelling in the Gulf?
Modest clothing that covers shoulders and knees is a safe baseline. The Government of Canada notes women are not required to cover their heads in the UAE, and advises covering arms and legs in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Mosques ask women to cover their hair.
Are there armed drivers or bodyguards?
No. We supply chauffeurs, not guards. Partners work alongside a client's own security team.
How much does a Gulf transfer cost?
The online booker shows the exact all-in fare for your addresses and vehicle before you pay, so you never negotiate at the kerb.
What is your cancellation policy?
More than 72 hours' notice: no charge. 72 hours or less: 10%. 48 hours or less: 50%. 24 hours or less, or a no-show: 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. Large events and conventions may carry a different deadline, stated on your confirmation.
Is it safe to travel to the Gulf right now?
That is a decision for you and the official advice. At the time of writing the Government of Canada advises avoiding non-essential travel to each Gulf country. Read the live pages for the countries you will visit before you travel.
