King Khalid International Airport (RUH) lies north of Riyadh, and the capital is spread out across a vast plain. Most business districts are 30 to 45 km from the terminals, so the quality of the transfer shapes the start of a trip in a way that it does not in a compact European city. A pre-booked Riyadh airport transfer gives you a named driver, a tracked flight and a fixed fare quoted before you book.
What is the best Riyadh airport transfer from RUH?
For most business visitors with luggage, a pre-booked chauffeur is the most predictable Riyadh airport transfer: a named driver, flight tracking and a fixed fare quoted before you pay. KAFD, the financial district, is about 35 km from RUH, so the journey is long enough to matter.
Enroutz.ca is a Toronto-based black car and chauffeur service. In Saudi Arabia the ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur partner and is booked, confirmed and invoiced by the Enroutz.ca desk. That is one booking, one confirmation, one invoice and one point of contact around the clock. Partner vehicles are no more than four model years old, and Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach are accepted up to seven. We do not own vehicles or offices in the Kingdom.
This page is written for the executive, consultant or delegate flying to Riyadh from North America or Europe, and for the Riyadh-based traveller who wants the same standard of chauffeur when travelling abroad. For the wider city see the Riyadh chauffeur service page.
The airport and its terminals
Riyadh Airports Company, established in 2016 as part of Saudi Arabia's aviation privatisation programme, manages King Khalid International Airport. The airport has several numbered terminals, and airlines are allocated between them. We deliberately do not list which airline uses which building: allocations change, and an error would send a chauffeur to the wrong door. Check your e-ticket or your airline's confirmation for the terminal, and forward it to the desk with your flight number. Because every airport pickup is flight-tracked, the partner also sees the terminal on the day.

You can read the airport operator's own introduction at Riyadh Airports.
How the pickup works
Give the desk your flight number, passenger names, number of large bags and your destination. The partner tracks the flight and adjusts for early and late landings.

On international arrivals we include 60 minutes of free waiting after landing; on domestic arrivals, 30. Immigration and baggage reclaim at a major hub can take a while, particularly on a first visit, and since the fare is fixed at booking, a long queue does not change what you pay.
You can add a name-board meet and greet inside arrivals, with an alias on the board on request. For a visitor arriving for the first time, a person holding a board is the simplest way to be found in a busy hall; see the meet and greet service for details.
Water, phone chargers and Wi-Fi are in most vehicles. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request at booking. Alcohol is prohibited by law in Saudi Arabia, and it is neither carried nor served in the vehicle.
Riyadh airport to KAFD and the city: distances and times
Distances are approximate road figures and drive times assume normal traffic. Riyadh's rush hour is long and heavy, and the same trip can take half as long at 02:00 as at 17:30.

| Destination | Distance | Typical drive |
|---|---|---|
| KAFD (King Abdullah Financial District) | about 35 km (22 mi) | 35 to 60 minutes |
| Olaya and central Riyadh | about 35 to 40 km (22 to 25 mi) | 40 to 70 minutes |
| Diplomatic Quarter | about 40 to 50 km (25 to 31 mi) | 45 to 75 minutes |
| Diriyah | about 50 to 60 km (31 to 37 mi) | 50 to 85 minutes |
| Jeddah, by road | about 950 km (590 mi) | 9 to 11 hours |
Jeddah is shown only so the scale is clear. Between the two cities a flight is the sensible choice, and the Jeddah airport page covers the other end. The booker shows the exact all-in fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm.
KAFD: arriving at the financial district
KAFD is described on its own website as a mixed-use district that brings together work, life and leisure, and it lists landmarks including PIF Tower, the KAFD Conference Center, Financial Plaza, Al Wadi and the KAFD Grand Mosque. The district has several entrances and its own internal road layout, so give the desk the tower name, the entrance you have been told to use and a mobile number that will work on arrival.

If you have a morning meeting in KAFD after an overnight flight, ask for the chauffeur to stay on call. Meetings run long, security checks at large buildings take time, and a car already outside is often the difference between a punctual and a late departure. The KAFD website lists the district's venues. For a stay of several days, an hourly chauffeur booking keeps one vehicle and one driver with you, which helps with unfamiliar routes.
Riyadh airport transfer compared with the alternatives
| Option | Typical time to KAFD | Cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Airport taxi | 35 to 60 minutes | Metered or agreed at the rank | Short stays, no pre-booking |
| Ride-hailing | 35 to 60 minutes | Surge-priced at peaks | Flexible plans, local SIM or data |
| Rental car | Varies | Variable, plus parking and fuel | Experienced drivers who know the road network |
| Hotel car | 35 to 60 minutes | Quoted by the hotel | Convenience if you are staying on a package |
| Chauffeur via Enroutz.ca | 35 to 60 minutes | Fixed fare via booker | First-time visitors, groups, executives, late arrivals |
If you are a regular visitor with a local SIM, a trusted ride-hailing account and little luggage, a ride-hailing car is a reasonable choice. A chauffeur is stronger when you are new to the city, landing late, travelling as a group or arriving for a meeting where punctuality counts. Rental cars are best avoided on a first visit because of the long distances and fast roads. See chauffeur vs rideshare for the longer comparison.
Business travel in the Kingdom
Riyadh's calendar is dominated by conferences, investor meetings and corporate visits, and the pace is brisk. Corporate clients can open a corporate chauffeur account so that an assistant can book and track every leg with monthly invoicing, and planners moving delegates should read about meetings, incentives and conferences and group transportation. Executive Sprinters carry up to twelve passengers and twelve bags for delegations arriving on the same flight.
For senior figures, talent and public-facing clients, the VIP chauffeur service describes our discretion protocol: alias bookings, NDAs on request, and chauffeurs who do not photograph clients or post about trips. Enroutz.ca is a chauffeur service and not a security company, with no armed drivers and no bodyguards. We work alongside a client's own security team; see executive protection transport for how that cooperation runs. Armoured vehicles are available on request through vetted partners, with availability confirmed at booking.
Making a short Riyadh trip work
A two-day visit to Riyadh is mostly decided by the schedule you set before you land. Group your meetings by district, since a cross-city drive in the afternoon peak can use up an hour that a morning slot would not. Leave a gap after any meeting that might overrun, and tell the desk the sequence of addresses in advance so that the booking reflects each stop and the waiting time between them.
For the return, remember that long distances from the city to the airport mean you should leave earlier than you would in a smaller city, and that international departures need time at check-in and at security. Tell the desk your flight time and the partner will work back to a pickup time, then confirm it with you.
If your trip includes the historic district at Diriyah or an evening at a restaurant far from your hotel, the same chauffeur and vehicle can stay with you for the evening on an hourly booking and drive you back when you are ready.
Courtesy and custom in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia welcomes business and leisure visitors, and the following habits help.
- Dress. Choose modest, loose-fitting clothing that covers shoulders and knees. Official tourism guidance applies to visitors, so check the Visit Saudi website before you pack.
- Women travelling. Women travel and work independently in the Kingdom, including as passengers in chauffeur-driven cars. Tell the desk if you have any particular requests at booking.
- Alcohol. Alcohol is prohibited by law. Do not bring it into the country.
- Prayer times. Shops and some services pause briefly at prayer times. Chauffeurs and meetings plan around them, so avoid scheduling a tight handover at those moments.
- Ramadan. The month moves each year with the lunar calendar. Do not eat, drink or smoke in public during daylight hours. Working hours shift and evenings are busy.
- Photography. Ask before photographing people, and do not photograph government buildings, security personnel or military sites.
- Greetings. Handshakes are common in business. Wait for the other person to offer a hand, and use your right hand.
Your chauffeur takes cues from you. The vehicle, the music and the temperature are yours to set.
Entry rules
Entry requirements for business, tourism and other purposes are set by the Saudi government and change from time to time. Use the official Visit Saudi website and your airline for current rules for your passport. We do not process visas, and we cannot confirm requirements for your nationality.

The wider Gulf itinerary
Riyadh is often one stop among several. The Doha Hamad page and the Bahrain airport page cover two neighbouring airports, the Middle East hub lists the rest, and the airports hub lists every airport we cover. One desk handles every leg with a single invoice; see how the worldwide network works.
Cancellation: more than 72 hours' notice has no charge; 72 hours or less is 10%; 48 hours or less is 50%; 24 hours or less or no-show is 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. Large events and conventions may carry a different deadline, stated on your confirmation.
