When people search for an airport limo in Toronto, they usually mean Pearson. It is the largest airport, and for most international visitors it is the only one that matters. But the region has other options, and a few of them can save an hour, a fare or a stressful connection if you know when to use them.
This page compares the five airports a Toronto traveller is most likely to use: Toronto Pearson International (YYZ), Billy Bishop Toronto City (YTZ), John C. Munro Hamilton International (YHM), Region of Waterloo International (YKF) and Buffalo Niagara International (BUF) across the border in New York State. For each it sets out the distance, the pickup procedure and the situations where it is the right choice.
Airport limo Toronto: which airport are you using?
An airport limo in Toronto is a pre-booked chauffeur transfer to or from any of the region's airports, with flight tracking and a fixed fare. Pearson is 27 km from Union Station, Billy Bishop about 3 km from downtown, Hamilton and Waterloo roughly 80 and 100 km out, and Buffalo about 154 km across the border.
Enter your flight number or airport code in the online booker and the booker shows the exact all-in fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm. The desk checks that the chauffeur is briefed on the correct airport, terminal and pickup point. Flights are tracked on every airport pickup.
The five airports at a glance

| Airport | Code | Distance | Typical drive | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Toronto Pearson | YYZ | About 27 km to Union Station | 30 to 50 minutes | International arrivals, most airlines, the widest choice of routes |
| Billy Bishop Toronto City | YTZ | About 3 km from downtown | 10 to 20 minutes | Short regional flights, a hotel on the waterfront or downtown |
| Hamilton John C. Munro | YHM | Roughly 80 km to Toronto | About 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes | Flights that happen to use it, Hamilton and the Niagara side |
| Waterloo Region | YKF | Roughly 100 km from Pearson | About 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes | Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph |
| Buffalo Niagara | BUF | About 154 km (96 miles) from Toronto | 2 to 3 hours including the border | Comparing fares, cross-border travellers, Niagara |
Distances are approximate road distances and times assume normal traffic. The booker calculates the actual route from your address.
Toronto Pearson (YYZ): the main gateway
Pearson is the airport most Toronto travellers use. It has two passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and both handle domestic, transborder and international flights. The airport lies northwest of downtown on the Mississauga side of the boundary, and the road trip to Union Station is about 27 km.

For pre-arranged pickups, the airport's pre-arranged services page lists Door A at both terminals. Your Enroutz.ca confirmation gives the current meeting point, because airport signage can change. International arrivals include 60 minutes of free waiting after landing and domestic arrivals 30 minutes, which covers border processing and baggage.
The full procedure, with timings for customs and the door-by-door breakdown, is on the Pearson airport limo page. If you are arriving from abroad for the first time, read the Toronto airport transfer guide.
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ): the island airport
Billy Bishop sits on the Toronto Islands, about 3 km from the downtown core, and is a short taxi, shuttle or walk from the Financial District. According to the airport's own guide, you reach the terminal from the mainland by an electric ferry that takes about 90 seconds or by a pedestrian tunnel, and a free shuttle bus runs between Union Station and the airport every 15 minutes.

For a chauffeur, the key point is that vehicles meet you on the mainland side, not on the island. Taxis wait at a corral beside the mainland pavilion at the foot of Eireann Quay, and the airport has curbside drop-off and pick-up outside the pavilion and the ferry terminal. Your chauffeur agrees the exact spot with you in advance, and from the island terminal you reach it by the ferry or the tunnel.
When is a chauffeur worthwhile at YTZ? When you have heavy luggage, when you are heading beyond the core to Yorkville or the suburbs, when your hotel is far from the free shuttle's drop-off, or when you want a fixed fare and a known vehicle at midnight. If you are heading to a hotel near Union Station with light bags, the free shuttle is the best-value option, and we will say so. See the Billy Bishop airport page for a fuller guide.
Hamilton International (YHM): west of the lake
John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport lies in the Mount Hope area south of Hamilton, roughly 80 km by road from downtown Toronto. Distances quoted by transfer providers vary between about 60 and 85 km depending on the starting point, so treat 80 km as a planning figure and rely on the booker for the exact route. The Hamilton airport website shows flights by Air Canada and Porter Airlines.

A chauffeur is the logical way to cover that distance if your flight uses Hamilton and you are going to Toronto, Burlington, Oakville or Niagara. For a trip of that length with no direct train, a pre-booked car is the straightforward choice. See Hamilton airport transfers for more.
Waterloo Region International (YKF): tech corridor
Waterloo's airport is in Breslau, and describes itself as 45 minutes west of Toronto alongside Highway 401, a few minutes from Cambridge, Guelph, Kitchener and Waterloo. From Pearson it is roughly 100 km. The airport lists Flair Airlines, Sunwing, WestJet and Air Canada as airline partners on its website.
For visitors to the Kitchener-Waterloo technology cluster, flying to YKF avoids a long drive from Toronto, and a chauffeur covers the last few kilometres to a hotel, campus or office. If you are arriving at Pearson for a Waterloo meeting, a chauffeur at the terminal is the simplest way to cover about 100 km without a rental car. The Kitchener-Waterloo car service and Waterloo airport pages provide details.
Buffalo Niagara International (BUF): the cross-border option
Buffalo Niagara International Airport, at 4200 Genesee Street in Buffalo, is about 154 km (96 miles) from Toronto by road, according to Destination Toronto's getting-here guide. Many Ontario residents compare fares from Buffalo because it is the nearest major US airport, and the airport's website includes a section for Canadian travellers and lists limousines among its ground-transportation options.
A chauffeur drive from Toronto includes the border crossing, and the elapsed time depends largely on the queue at the bridge. Plan for 2 to 3 hours, and more at peak holiday periods. Every passenger needs valid travel documents, including children; the details are in the cross-border car service guide. Cross-border trips between Toronto and the USA run from Toronto, and the Buffalo airport page covers pickups. Is it worth it? Only if the fare saving on your flight is real and you are not travelling on a tight connection, because the border adds uncertainty. We will happily explain the trade-off.
How to choose between Toronto's airports
A simple decision rule works for most travellers.
- International long-haul, first visit: Pearson. It has the widest range of airlines and the best-prepared arrivals process.
- Short flight, downtown stay: Billy Bishop if your airline uses it. The 3 km distance and the free shuttle are hard to beat.
- Waterloo Region business: YKF if the schedule works, otherwise Pearson plus a chauffeur.
- Hamilton or Niagara destination: Hamilton if your itinerary uses it, otherwise Pearson.
- Price-led trips: Compare Buffalo, but add the drive, the border and the possible delay to the comparison before committing.
Your airline and fare decide which airport you actually fly from, so the question is usually how to get to or from it. That is what a chauffeur is for.
Flight tracking, waiting time and meet-and-greet
All Enroutz.ca airport pickups include live flight tracking, so the chauffeur arrives for the real landing time. Free waiting after landing is 60 minutes on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic ones; on other pickups the free waiting time is 15 minutes. If a delay beyond those windows is likely, tell the desk and it can advise.
A name-board meet-and-greet inside arrivals is available as an add-on at most airports, with an alias on the board if you prefer privacy. See meet-and-greet service for how it works.
Airport ground transport compared
The table below applies to the busiest case, Pearson to downtown, but the same trade-offs apply across the other airports.
| Option | Time to downtown | Cost note | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| UP Express (Pearson only) | About 25 to 30 minutes | Lowest | Light luggage, rush hour, near Union Station |
| Free shuttle (Billy Bishop only) | About 15 minutes to Union Station | Free | Short trips, light bags |
| Airport taxi | 30 to 50 minutes from Pearson | Flat rates to Toronto destinations at Pearson | No booking |
| Rideshare | Varies | Surge-priced at peaks | Flexible plans |
| Rental car | Varies | Rental plus parking | Trips beyond the city |
| Private chauffeur | Varies by airport | Fixed fare via booker | Late flights, heavy luggage, groups, early starts, suburbs |
The UP Express lists an adult one-way fare of $12.35 as of 2026, which makes it very hard to beat on price for a single traveller at Pearson. For the other airports there is no equivalent train, which is where a chauffeur is most useful. Our chauffeur versus rideshare page compares the options in more depth.
Luggage and vehicle choice
Match the vehicle to the passengers and the bags. An Executive Sedan or First Class Sedan takes up to 3 passengers with 2 large and 2 cabin bags. A Luxury SUV takes up to 6 passengers and 5 to 6 large bags. An Executive Sprinter takes up to 12 passengers and 12 bags. The exact model is named at booking, since each class is offered as "or similar". Seats for children, toddlers and boosters can be requested. You can browse the fleet to compare.
For private flights, passengers do not use these terminals at all; see the private aviation hub and Toronto FBO pages.
Beyond Toronto's airports
Enroutz.ca covers airports worldwide. Outside Toronto, the GTA and Ontario, a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur partner delivers the ride, and the Enroutz.ca desk books, confirms and invoices it, giving you one booking, one confirmation and one invoice. Travellers flying onward can book the airport at the other end in the same reservation. Explore the airports hub, the worldwide chauffeur network, and the USA hub for cities such as New York and Chicago.
Frequently asked questions
Which airport is closest to downtown Toronto?
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport on the Toronto Islands, about 3 km from downtown. Toronto Pearson is about 27 km away by road. Which one you use depends on your airline and route, and a chauffeur can serve either.
How much is an airport limo in Toronto?
Enroutz.ca does not publish fares. The booker shows the exact all-in fare for your address, airport and vehicle before you pay. It is a fixed fare and it does not change with traffic.
Can a limo pick me up at Billy Bishop Airport?
Yes, on the mainland side. Curbside drop-off and pick-up are outside the mainland pavilion and ferry terminal at the foot of Eireann Quay, reached from the island by a short ferry ride or the pedestrian tunnel. Your chauffeur coordinates the exact spot with you.
Is it worth flying from Buffalo instead of Toronto?
Sometimes, if the fare saving is large and you have a flexible schedule. The drive is about 154 km (96 miles) plus a border crossing, so the saving has to cover the transfer and the added risk of delay. Short trips with tight connections are usually better from Toronto.
Do you serve Hamilton and Waterloo airports?
Yes. Hamilton is roughly 80 km from Toronto and Waterloo's airport roughly 100 km from Pearson. Enter your flight and address in the booker and it confirms the fixed fare.
How long does the chauffeur wait after I land?
For international arrivals, 60 minutes free after landing. For domestic arrivals, 30 minutes. On other pickups, 15 minutes. The chauffeur tracks your flight, so delays are handled automatically.
Can you arrange meet-and-greet at the airport?
Yes, as an add-on. A chauffeur holds a name board inside arrivals, or an alias board if you prefer privacy. Ask for it at booking.
What if my plans change?
No charge applies to cancellations made more than 72 hours ahead. The charge is 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, always measured from the scheduled pickup time. Where a large event or convention is involved, the confirmation may state another deadline.
