What is the best way to get to Fira Gran Via during MWC?
For a fixed schedule, a pre-booked chauffeur is the most predictable option: the fair is about 12 km from Barcelona airport by road, and the car waits at the hall entrance you choose. For a single hotel-to-fair commute, the metro and fair taxi ranks cost less.
MWC is a four-day event with a long tail of side meetings. A good MWC Barcelona transportation plan looks at the days separately: the arrival day, the show days, the evenings and the departure. Each has a different best answer, and this page sets them out honestly, including the days when a chauffeur is not the right choice.
Enroutz.ca is a Toronto-based chauffeur service. In Barcelona, the ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur partner, and it is booked, confirmed and invoiced by the Enroutz.ca desk. You receive one confirmation, one invoice and one point of contact, whatever the time of day. Partner vehicles are no more than four model years old, and luxury marques may be up to seven.
MWC Barcelona 2027: dates and venue
The organiser lists MWC Barcelona 2027 for 1 to 4 March 2027, from Monday to Thursday, and names Fira Gran Via as the venue, at Avinguda Joan Carles I, 64, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. Confirm your pass type, hall allocation and programme on the official MWC Barcelona site.
One detail catches first-time visitors: Fira Gran Via is not in central Barcelona. It lies in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, the municipality next to Barcelona on the way to the airport. The operator, Fira de Barcelona, also runs a second venue at Montjuïc (Avinguda Reina Maria Cristina), so check that your appointments are at Gran Via before you give a driver an address. Venue pages are on the Fira de Barcelona site.
How far is Fira Gran Via from the airport and the city?
Fira de Barcelona states that the fairground is about 12 km from Barcelona–El Prat airport by road via the C-31. In free-flowing traffic that is a 15 to 20 minute drive. During MWC, the morning arrival wave and the early evening departure wave slow it, and a realistic planning figure is 25 to 45 minutes at those times.

Barcelona-Sants rail station is about 4 km from the fair. The old city and the Gothic Quarter are further, roughly 6 to 8 km depending on the hotel, and the drive takes 20 to 40 minutes depending on the hour.
For every trip, the booker shows the exact fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm. Our Barcelona airport page explains the terminals, and the Barcelona chauffeur service page covers the city outside show week.
From the airport: a clean arrival
Barcelona-El Prat has Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Your confirmation gives the terminal and meeting point, and the chauffeur messages you before you land. The details that matter:

- Your flight is tracked, so a delayed arrival changes the pickup automatically.
- International arrivals receive 60 minutes of free waiting after landing; on a domestic or Schengen connection from Madrid, 30 minutes.
- A name-board meet and greet inside arrivals is available as an add-on, with an alias name on the board if you prefer privacy.
- Luggage is loaded by the chauffeur and the car goes straight to the hotel or the fair.
Passengers from Toronto usually arrive tired. The flight takes roughly eight hours, and Barcelona is six hours ahead of Toronto during the first days of March (North America changes its clocks later in the month). A car that is ready when you clear arrivals makes the first hour in the country easier.
Your realistic options, side by side

| Option | Typical time to Fira Gran Via | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Metro L9 South | Direct to Fira or Europa/Fira stations; times depend on your start | Lowest | Hotels on or near the L9 line, travelling light |
| FGC regional trains | Stop at Europa/Fira; several lines serve it | Low | Delegates arriving from Barcelona's Plaça d'Espanya side |
| Bus | Routes H12, V1, 46, 65 and 79 serve the venue | Low | Budget travellers with time to spare |
| Taxi | Ranks are located at the fairgrounds; queues build at closing time | Metered, with the official AMB app showing approximate fares | Short trips and one-off returns |
| Rideshare | Pickup points at the fair can be congested at closing time | Surge-priced | Flexible trips when a wait is acceptable |
| Hotel shuttle | Some conference hotels arrange shuttles in show week; ask yours | Sometimes included | Commuting from conference hotels |
| Private chauffeur | Door to hall, no queue | Fixed fare via booker | Fixed schedules, executives, groups |
The metro is the cheapest and, for many hotels, the most reliable choice. The L9 South runs to Fira and Europa/Fira stations, and the L10 South stops at Foc. If your hotel is on a line that connects easily and you are travelling alone, use it. The chauffeur makes more sense when you are carrying a laptop bag, banners or samples, when your meetings are spread over the city, or when you are returning late.
The Fira Gran Via approach: where cars actually stop
Fira Gran Via has multiple entrances, and the right drop-off depends on your badge, your hall and the day. Fira de Barcelona lists parking spaces on site (4,580, according to its transport page), and taxi ranks at the fairgrounds, but a car cannot assume it can wait at an entrance all day. The practical approach is for your chauffeur to drop you at the entrance you give us, then stage nearby until you message for pickup. Check the organiser's visitor information for the entrance that matches your badge and hall, and send it to the desk before the day starts. Cars arriving at the same moment as thousands of delegates will queue, so a pickup time that sits fifteen minutes away from the closing rush is easier on everyone.

Tell the desk the hall number or the name of the exhibitor you are visiting. Also say whether you have a pass for the whole fair or only a single day; some entrances close earlier than others. Do not rely on an address that says only "Fira". For official transport detail, the Fira Gran Via page is the source to check.
Executives and investor meetings
Senior delegates at MWC typically run a schedule of back-to-back appointments, some at the fair and some in the city. A First Class Sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar; up to three passengers; two large and two cabin bags) is the usual choice. Wi-Fi, water and phone chargers are in most vehicles.
For a day of appointments we recommend booking by the hour rather than by single transfer, so that the chauffeur stays with you. Read how that works on the hourly chauffeur page. Companies with several travellers can set up a corporate account with monthly invoicing and cost-centre references, so the finance team receives one document for a week of movements. Our corporate chauffeur service page explains the process.
Discretion is a standard part of the service. Chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, and NDAs are signed on request. If your delegation has its own security team, the chauffeur works with it; Enroutz.ca is a chauffeur service, not a security company.
Exhibitors and booth teams
Booth teams travel in larger numbers and carry more. A Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar) seats six with five to six large bags. An Executive Sprinter seats twelve with twelve bags. For groups beyond that, mini-coaches and coaches (20 to 56 seats) are available on request with availability confirmed at booking. See group transportation for options.
Stand freight and large crates move through the fair's official logistics, not in a chauffeur vehicle. What we handle is the people and the small kit. For a build-day start, book the pickup the evening before and confirm the time with the dispatcher. More on how exhibitor days are built is on our trade show transportation page.
Evenings: dinners, receptions and the late return
Barcelona dines late. A reservation at nine or half past nine in the evening is normal, and receptions during MWC often start after the fair closes. Give the desk the restaurant name and your table time, and let the dispatcher plan the pickup. The return trip after a late dinner is where a pre-arranged car is most valuable, because taxi demand peaks as events end.
Local law applies to alcohol, and no drinks are promised on board. The cancellation deadline for large events and conventions can differ from our standard policy, and any difference is stated on the confirmation.
Planning around the whole trip
MWC delegates often add Madrid, Lisbon or a second city to the trip. Madrid is about 620 km from Barcelona by road, and the high-speed train is usually faster and better value than driving; see our Madrid chauffeur service and Madrid airport page. If your itinerary includes a Berlin trade show, the ITB Berlin page covers that fair, and the Europe hub lists every European city we cover. If you arrive by sea at the cruise terminal, the Barcelona cruise port page shows the transfer.
Entry rules depend on your passport. Canadian, American, British and Gulf passport holders should check the current Spanish and EU requirements with their airline and the official government site before they travel, as the rules for visa-free visitors have been changing in Europe.
How booking works
Open the booker, enter any pickup in the world, and add the destination, date and time. The desk confirms a fixed quote for the exact addresses and vehicle before you pay. Vehicle classes are "or similar", and the model is confirmed at booking. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request.
Cancellation: more than 72 hours' notice, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less or no-show, 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. Large events and conventions may carry a different deadline, stated on the confirmation. Other trade shows we cover are in the trade shows hub.
Frequently asked questions
When is MWC Barcelona 2027?
The organiser lists MWC Barcelona 2027 for 1 to 4 March 2027 at Fira Gran Via in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. Check the official site for your pass type and hall plan before you travel.
How far is Fira Gran Via from Barcelona airport?
About 12 km by road via the C-31, according to Fira de Barcelona. Off-peak the drive is usually 15 to 20 minutes; in show week plan for 25 to 45 minutes at the busiest times.
Is there a metro to Fira Gran Via?
Yes. Fira de Barcelona lists the L9 South to the Fira and Europa/Fira stations, and the L10 South to Foc. Regional FGC trains and several bus routes also serve the venue.
Is a chauffeur better than a taxi at MWC?
For fixed appointments, yes, because the car is waiting and the fare is known in advance. For a one-off short trip when you have time, a taxi from the rank at the fairground is fine, and the metro is the lowest-cost choice.
Can a chauffeur take me from my hotel to Fira Gran Via every day?
Yes. Book each day as a single transfer, or book by the hour so the same chauffeur stays with you through the day. The booker shows the fare before you confirm.
Where does the chauffeur meet me at the airport?
At Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 depending on your airline. Your confirmation names the meeting point, and an arrivals name-board meet and greet is available as an add-on.
How many people fit in the vehicles?
An Executive Sedan or First Class Sedan carries up to three passengers and four bags in total. A Luxury SUV carries up to six with five to six large bags. An Executive Sprinter carries up to twelve with twelve bags.
What if my flight is delayed?
Flights are tracked on every airport pickup. Free waiting after landing is 60 minutes on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic ones, so a late arrival does not need a phone call.
Do you own vehicles in Barcelona?
No. In Barcelona the ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed, commercially insured local partner and is booked, confirmed and invoiced by the Enroutz.ca desk in Toronto.
