How do you get to the Farnborough Airshow by chauffeur or private car?
The show centre is in Farnborough, Hampshire, about 55–60 km (about 35 miles) from central London and Heathrow. At the 2026 show, the organiser sent pre-booked cars to a drop-off zone at Queens Parade in Aldershot, where a free shuttle runs to the gates. Confirm the 2028 arrangements before you travel.
Farnborough International Airshow takes place every two years, in even-numbered years. The 2026 show has happened. The organiser's website lists FIA2028 as the next edition, and it does not state calendar dates in the text we could verify, so we say only this: the show has historically been held in July. Check farnboroughairshow.com for the 2028 dates when they are released.
Everything below draws on the arrangements the organiser published for 2026, and on how a chauffeur service typically works around a large show. Rules can change between editions, which is why we advise confirming the access plan again when the 2028 visitor information appears.
Enroutz.ca is a Toronto chauffeur desk. For rides in the UK, a vetted, licensed and commercially insured British partner drives, with the booking, confirmation and invoice handled by our desk. If you are flying from Toronto, you can combine your Pearson pickup and your UK ride in one account.
The Farnborough show centre at a glance
| Item | What the organiser publishes |
|---|---|
| Show centre address | Show Centre, ETPS Road, Farnborough GU14 6FD |
| Edition frequency | Biennial, even-numbered years |
| Most recent edition | 2026 |
| Next edition | FIA2028 (calendar dates to be confirmed on the organiser's site) |
| Public access in 2026 | The organiser marked public tickets as sold out |
The 2026 site separated trade registration from public tickets, and it ran a careers and public day called Pioneers of Tomorrow. For the trade days, which are what most of our clients attend, you register through the organiser. We do not handle accreditation.
Where a pre-booked car is allowed to stop
This is the most useful fact on this page. The organiser's "getting here" guidance for 2026 set out different access for different vehicles.

- Approved taxis with the correct permits could drop off at the taxi rank near Gate A.
- Pre-booked taxis, minicabs and ride-hailing services were directed to a drop-off and pick-up zone at Queens Parade, in Aldershot (postcode GU11 2JL), where a free shuttle ran to the show site.
- Shuttles ran continuously from Farnborough Main station, and from North Camp and Aldershot stations to Gate B, with the Gate B service listed from 07:00 to 19:00. From Queens Parade, shuttles ran to Gate B and Car Park 8.
- Blue badge holders could park on site and use a free service in, via Gate F.
Read that again if you are used to being driven to the door. At the 2026 show, a chauffeur car was not given a door. It was given a zone, and a shuttle. If you hold a hospitality pass, a VIP pass or an exhibitor pass, your access may be different. Ask the organiser and send us the instructions.
The practical conclusion is that a chauffeur at Farnborough solves the long journey, not the last kilometre. The value of the car is getting you from Heathrow, Gatwick or a London hotel to the correct drop-off zone on time, with luggage handled and a confirmed return. You can read the organiser's page in full at the Farnborough getting-here guide.
The journey: London, Heathrow, Gatwick and Farnborough Airport
Farnborough sits to the south-west of London, close to the M3. The organiser's directions tell drivers to leave the motorway at Junction 4 or 4a.

As approximate figures, central London is about 60 km (about 37 miles) away, Heathrow about 55 km (about 34 miles) and Gatwick about 75 km (about 47 miles). A usual drive from Heathrow is 50–75 minutes outside peaks, and show mornings add time. The booker calculates the exact distance and quotes a fixed fare for your pickup address. Our London chauffeur service page covers the city, the Heathrow page covers arrivals there, and the Gatwick page covers the southern airport.
Business-aviation guests often fly into Farnborough Airport itself, which sits beside the show. Our Farnborough FBO page explains how a chauffeur meets a business jet there, and the private aviation hub covers the wider approach.
Entering the UK from Canada
Canadian visitors now apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before travelling to the UK. The UK government's page says that people from "Europe, the USA, Australia, Canada or certain other countries" usually need an ETA rather than a visa, and that every traveller, including children and babies, needs their own. The official guidance is at gov.uk/eta. Please apply through the official government site, and leave time before departure.

A chauffeur cannot help you at the border if the authorisation is missing, so this is a step to finish before you book the ride.
Comparing the ways to reach Farnborough
The honest answer to "chauffeur or train" depends on where you start and what you carry.

| Option | Typical time (central London to show) | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Train to Farnborough Main, then free shuttle | About 35 min from Waterloo, plus shuttle | Lowest | Light travellers with a ticket in hand |
| Train to North Camp or Aldershot, then shuttle | Varies | Lowest | Visitors staying along the line |
| Own car, off-site parking and shuttle | 60–90 min | Fuel plus parking | Drivers who know the M3 |
| Approved taxi to the rank near Gate A | 60–90 min | Metered | Visitors with the right permit situation |
| Pre-booked chauffeur to Queens Parade zone | 60–90 min, plus shuttle | Fixed fare via booker | Teams, luggage, Heathrow arrivals, VIP guests |
On the day, the train is a good option from London. The organiser itself recommends Farnborough Main, and fast services from London Waterloo take about 35 minutes. If you are travelling alone and have no bags, the train and the free shuttle are the sensible choice, and we say so. The chauffeur makes sense when you land at Heathrow with luggage, when you travel as a group, or when your day includes a hotel in the countryside.
Who books with us for Farnborough
Aerospace and defence delegations. Teams arrive at Heathrow in waves. We assign flights to pickups, and our planners keep one contact for the group. An Executive Sprinter takes up to 12 passengers and 12 bags. For larger groups, mini-coaches and coaches (20–56 seats) are available on request.
Executives and hosts. A First Class Sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar) takes up to 3 passengers with 2 large and 2 cabin bags. It is a quiet room between Heathrow and a day of meetings. Most vehicles carry Wi-Fi, water and phone chargers.
Investors and analysts. Farnborough week attracts people who combine the show with meetings in the City and Mayfair. An hourly chauffeur booking keeps the car with you across the day.
Business-aviation guests. Owners and brokers often prefer their driver to meet the aircraft. See the Farnborough FBO page.
Planning the return so that you are not stuck in the queue
Shuttle systems work well in the morning, when arrivals are spread across several hours, and less well at the end of a show day, when thousands of people want to leave at about the same moment. If your chauffeur is waiting at the drop-off zone, you will still need to ride the shuttle back to it. Build that into your timing.
Our advice is practical. Agree a pickup window rather than a pickup minute, for example "between 17:00 and 17:45", and message the chauffeur when you board the shuttle. The car will be ready when you step off. If you have a dinner in London at 19:30, work back from it and include a margin for the M3 on a busy evening. When in doubt, leave earlier and spend the margin in the car with the phone charger and the water bottle, not on the platform.
Staying in London: hotels and stations
Many visitors stay in London and travel out. If you are arriving by Eurostar, the St Pancras page explains how we meet trains there. For an iconic Strand hotel, the Savoy page shows how arrivals are handled. A pre-dawn start from central London is the best way to be on site before the first wave of visitors.
Vehicle classes
All classes are "or similar", and the exact model is confirmed at booking.
- Executive Sedan: Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CT6/Lyriq or similar. Up to 3 passengers.
- First Class Sedan: Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar. Up to 3 passengers.
- Luxury SUV: Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar. Up to 6 passengers.
- Executive Sprinter: Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Up to 12 passengers.
Partner vehicles in the UK are no more than 4 model years old, and Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach up to 7. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request. See the fleet page.
Discretion and security
Chauffeurs on our bookings do not photograph clients or post about trips. We sign NDAs on request. Enroutz.ca is a chauffeur service, not a security company, and we do not provide bodyguards or armed drivers. We work alongside your own security team on route and timing, as set out on our executive protection transport page.
A sample day
- Heathrow arrival. The chauffeur tracks your flight, meets you at arrivals with a name board if you add it, and loads the luggage.
- To Farnborough. The car drives to the zone the organiser specifies and confirms the return pickup time.
- On site. Use the organiser's shuttle to the gate. Message the chauffeur when you are ready to leave.
- Evening. Return to London, or onward to a countryside hotel.
- Departure. A pickup timed for Heathrow check-in with at least three hours' margin on an international flight.
How booking works from Toronto
We operate from a Toronto desk. In Toronto, the GTA and Ontario, our own fleet and chauffeurs drive. Everywhere else, including the UK, a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur partner drives and our desk books, confirms and invoices. You get one booking, one confirmation, one invoice and one contact, 24 hours a day. Enter any pickup worldwide at the booker; the desk confirms a fixed quote.
For how the overseas side is structured, read our worldwide chauffeur network page and the Europe hub. Corporate accounts with monthly invoicing are available through corporate accounts.
Cancellation and event deadlines
Cancellation is measured from the scheduled pickup time. More than 72 hours' notice: no charge. 72 hours or less: 10%. 48 hours or less: 50%. 24 hours or less, or a no-show: 100%. Large events and conventions may carry a different deadline, stated on your confirmation.
Farnborough alternates with the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget in odd years, and the Gulf holds its own: see the Paris Air Show page and the Dubai Airshow page. All show coverage sits in the trade shows hub and the events hub.
