How do I book a black car service in Dallas from Toronto?

Open the Enroutz.ca booker, enter the Dallas or Fort Worth pickup and drop-off, and pick a vehicle class. You see the fixed fare for those exact addresses before payment. A licensed Texas chauffeur partner drives the ride, while the Toronto desk confirms and invoices it.

Dallas is not one city but a metroplex, and the scale surprises visitors from Ontario. Dallas and Fort Worth are separate downtowns with a long run of suburbs and corporate campuses between them. The airports, the stadiums, the convention centre and the head offices are scattered across that span, joined by freeways that carry the whole region's commuting. A black car service in Dallas that you can rely on has to understand which freeway you will be on at what hour, and not merely which address you typed.

Enroutz.ca is a Toronto company with a Toronto fleet, and our own vehicles serve Toronto, the GTA and Ontario. For Dallas we do something different, and we state it plainly: the booking is ours, the vehicle and the driver are those of a vetted, licensed and commercially insured Texas partner. The desk that took your booking remains your contact the entire time.

What "booked in Toronto, driven in Texas" means for you

Your experience is one booking, one confirmation and one invoice. The Texas partner's vehicle is no older than four model years, or seven for Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach. Because domestic US rides must be carried out by US-licensed operators, a car with Ontario plates is not allowed to collect you at an airport and take you to a hotel in the same country. That rule explains the partner model, and our worldwide chauffeur network page sets out how we vet them.

What you get in practice:

  • A confirmation with the chauffeur's name, the vehicle class, the pickup point and the flight we track.
  • A single fixed fare shown by the booker for the exact addresses, so there is no meter and no surge.
  • A 24-hour desk in Toronto that can adjust a pickup without a chain of phone calls.
  • Monthly invoicing on request for companies with a corporate account.

Dallas is on Central Time, one hour behind Toronto. That sounds minor until a 7 am arrival turns out to be an 8 am start for the body clock, so plan the first meeting accordingly.

DFW Airport: scale, terminals and moving around

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is large enough that it has its own internal roads, notably International Parkway, which the airport says runs the length of the property from north to south. Cars reach it from State Highway 183 on the south side, or from State Highway 114 or Interstate 635 on the north. Your chauffeur will have a route for each, and which one is used on the day depends on where you are heading.

The airport's five terminals are connected by Skylink, a train inside security that the airport says arrives every two minutes, takes about five minutes on average, never more than nine between the farthest points, and runs 24 hours a day at no charge (DFW Airport). If you have a tight connection to a hotel shuttle or a rental counter, that matters less for a chauffeur booking, but it does mean that if you land at one terminal, the pickup does not necessarily have to be at the same one. Tell us the airline and flight, and we tell the driver where to wait.

For passengers flying from Toronto, Pearson and Billy Bishop both operate US preclearance. You are inspected by US Customs and Border Protection before departure, then skip CBP and TSA lines on arrival, so you land like a domestic traveller. For those arrivals the free wait is 30 minutes after landing. For passengers who clear US immigration at DFW itself, it is 60 minutes.

Our flight tracking means a late flight changes the pickup time automatically. Add the meet-and-greet service if you want a chauffeur with a name board inside arrivals; an alias on the board is available on request.

DFW or Love Field: which airport should you use?

Dallas has two commercial airports. DFW sits between Dallas and Fort Worth and carries the long-haul and international services. Love Field sits much closer to downtown Dallas, which is why many business travellers on short domestic hops choose it. If you have a choice of tickets, the sensible question is not the fare but where your first meeting is:

  • Downtown Dallas, Uptown, Deep Ellum: Love Field saves the most time.
  • Las Colinas, Irving and Plano corporate campuses: DFW is usually closer to Las Colinas and to the northern routes.
  • Fort Worth: DFW is the natural choice.
  • AT&T Stadium in Arlington: either airport works; DFW is the more usual choice for visitors flying in from abroad.

Terminal layouts and pickup points differ between the two airports, and both change from time to time. The confirmation names the meeting point, which we choose to comply with each airport's rules for pre-arranged commercial vehicles.

From DFW to downtown Dallas and Fort Worth

As a rough guide, downtown Dallas is about 30 km (around 18 miles) from DFW and downtown Fort Worth about 35 km (around 22 miles). Both take 25 to 40 minutes in light traffic, and noticeably longer on a weekday between 4 pm and 7 pm. The airport itself offers a map link to Google directions from Dallas City Hall and Fort Worth City Hall, so you can compare against our estimate, and the booker gives the fixed fare for your specific address.

A few notes help a first-time visitor:

  • Texas freeways have frontage roads, and wrong turns onto one can add a long detour. A chauffeur avoids that.
  • Summer heat is intense, and spring storms can produce hail and flooding. We recommend a buffer on any departure day.
  • If you are heading to a hotel in downtown, a chauffeur will use the side entrance that works at that hour.

Airport transfer options compared

The right choice depends on where you are going and how many people are with you.

DART's Orange Line, the airport says, runs from Plano through downtown Dallas and Irving to Terminal A, and TEXRail starts in downtown Fort Worth and passes through North Richland Hills and Grapevine to Terminal B (see the airport's public transit page). If your hotel sits on the line, the train is the cheapest and most predictable way to travel at rush hour. The airport also confirms that taxi service is available on the lower level of Terminals A to E (ground transportation). A chauffeur is the better answer when your destination is far from a station, when you carry a lot, or when you have a meeting waiting.

Business travel in Dallas and Fort Worth

Much of the metroplex's business sits outside downtown. Head offices cluster in Las Colinas and Irving, in Plano to the north, and along the freeways in between. A day that begins in Uptown, continues in Plano and ends at DFW is a classic as-directed booking. See hourly chauffeur for how hours are counted and how waiting between meetings is handled.

Each chauffeur is briefed to leave the vehicle ready for work. Wi-Fi, bottled water and phone chargers are available in most vehicles. The First Class Sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar, up to 3 passengers with 2 large and 2 cabin bags) is our choice for senior guests, and the Executive Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CT6/Lyriq or similar) for the rest of the team. For investor tours that continue to Houston, Atlanta or New York, the roadshow car service page explains how backup vehicles and confidentiality work.

Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center

Dallas's main convention venue is the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas at 650 S Griffin Street. Its official site says it welcomes over a million visitors annually and that an expansion is set to debut in 2030. Its calendar lists HYROX Dallas from 18 to 22 November 2026 and the BMW Dallas Marathon on 11 and 12 December 2026.

On show days the area immediately around the building is the busiest part of downtown. Your chauffeur will agree a pickup spot a block or two away, away from the main entrance queue. For group delegations, our meetings, incentives and conferences service coordinates multiple vehicles from a single manifest. For a Sprinter or mini-coach with a larger party, see group transportation.

AT&T Stadium, concerts and match days

AT&T Stadium is at One AT&T Way in Arlington, between Dallas and Fort Worth. The stadium's site lists concerts and Dallas Cowboys events, including a KAROL G concert on 15 October 2026. For sports and concerts, the useful principle is the same everywhere: arrive early, leave late. A chauffeur can drop you at an agreed point before the traffic builds and collect you after it eases, and the driver waits nearby for your return, rather than circling.

For artists, talent and guests who want to arrive and leave quietly, our VIP and celebrity chauffeur page explains the discretion protocol, and event transportation covers galas and group moves. We do not name clients, and chauffeurs never photograph or post about a trip.

Vehicles you can book in Dallas

All vehicle classes are "or similar", and the exact model is confirmed at booking.

  1. Executive Sedan: up to 3 passengers, 2 large and 2 cabin bags.
  2. First Class Sedan: up to 3 passengers with the same luggage allowance, in a larger and quieter car.
  3. Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar): up to 6 passengers and 5 to 6 large bags, which suits golf trips and families.
  4. Executive Sprinter: up to 12 passengers and 12 bags.

Coaches, Maybach, Rolls-Royce, stretch limousines and armoured vehicles are available on request, with availability confirmed at booking. The fleet page shows each class.

Security, privacy and executive movements

Enroutz.ca is a chauffeur service and not a security company. We provide no armed drivers and no bodyguards. Where a principal travels with a protection team, we work alongside it: share the route, the staging points and the agreed communications at booking. Our page on executive protection transport explains how that cooperation works. NDAs can be signed on request.

Onward travel: the rest of Texas and the South

Many trips that include Dallas include another city. See Houston and Atlanta for the same service in those markets, the USA hub for every US city we serve, and DFW airport transfers for terminal-level detail. The airports hub lists the rest. Which is better for a black car, DFW or Love Field?

It depends on your destination. Love Field is closer to downtown Dallas, DFW is closer to Las Colinas, Irving and Fort Worth. Tell us your first meeting address and we advise on the right airport.

Is there a train from DFW airport?

Yes. The airport reports that the DART Orange Line serves Terminal A, running from Plano through downtown Dallas and Irving, and TEXRail serves Terminal B from downtown Fort Worth. A chauffeur suits you when your destination is away from a station.

How does the Skylink train work?

It is a free train inside security connecting all five terminals. The airport states that it runs every two minutes at all hours, with an average ride of about five minutes and a maximum of nine.

How long will the chauffeur wait at DFW?

For domestic-style arrivals, including flights from Toronto that preclear US customs before boarding, the free wait is 30 minutes after landing. For international arrivals the free wait is 60 minutes. Other pickups include 15 minutes.

Do you offer child seats in Dallas?

Yes. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request when you book. Tell us the number and ages of children and we confirm the seats with the Texas partner.
