Do you need a car with a driver for Arabian Travel Market in Dubai?

If you are alone and staying near a metro station, probably not. If you run a team, carry brochures and gifts, or stack appointments from 9 am to a reception at night, a pre-booked car with a driver is easier. Arabian Travel Market is listed for 3–6 May 2027 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Arabian Travel Market, usually shortened to ATM, is a travel-trade show. People do not wander the aisles; they keep appointments. A hotel group's sales director has a diary that reads like an airline timetable, and the real risk is that one late arrival cascades into five. Transport is a diary problem.

Enroutz.ca is a Toronto chauffeur desk, and that matters if you are a Canadian tour operator, a travel adviser or a destination marketer heading to the Gulf. You book once, at the online booker, with your Dubai pickup entered like any other address. A vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur partner drives in Dubai. The Toronto desk issues the confirmation and the invoice and stays on call around the clock.

Arabian Travel Market 2027: the facts the organiser publishes

The ATM page on the World Travel Market site gives these details for the next edition.

ItemWhat the organiser publishes
Next edition3–6 May 2027
VenueDubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), Sheikh Zayed Road, Trade Centre 2, Dubai
AudienceTravel and tourism industry professionals
Past editionThe page refers to exhibitors for 2026 but does not give its dates, so we do not either

The show is usually held in the first half of May, which in Dubai means hot weather outdoors and strong air conditioning indoors. The practical consequence for transport is that nobody wants to wait outside for a taxi in the afternoon sun.

The full programme is on the official ATM page. Read it for the hall layout and any registration windows, because those change from year to year.

Why ATM week stresses Dubai's roads

Arabian Travel Market gathers a mobile crowd. Hotel executives move between their own properties, the exhibition and partner events. Airline teams jump from one hotel to another. Tour operators hold breakfasts, lunches and dinners with suppliers in different districts. The result is a lot of short trips in a short time, mostly in the same two or three corridors.

The Dubai World Trade Centre is on Sheikh Zayed Road, one of the city's main arterial roads, and the centre's own site, dwtc.com, points visitors to its driving directions, metro schedules and taxi information. Use those pages to understand the approach. Then think about your own diary: the question is not whether you can reach the hall, but whether you can reach your 11:30 hotel meeting after your 10:45 hall appointment.

From the airport to ATM

Most visitors arrive at Dubai International (DXB). The airport's site, dubaiairports.ae, lists taxi, metro, bus, parking and car rental services. A chauffeur is the option that waits for you.

Our DXB service works like this:

  • You enter your flight number at booking.
  • We track the flight and move the pickup to match the aircraft.
  • The chauffeur waits up to 60 minutes after landing on an international arrival at no extra charge. Domestic arrivals carry 30 minutes.
  • A name-board meet-and-greet inside arrivals can be added. An alias on the board is available if you prefer privacy.

The drive from DXB to the Dubai World Trade Centre is about 15 km, usually 20–35 minutes outside peaks. Our DXB airport page covers terminals and arrival timing in more detail.

Some delegates land at Dubai World Central (DWC). If your itinerary is by private jet, see the Dubai private aviation page.

Choosing between metro, taxi, app and chauffeur

Dubai is easy to get around, and honest advice matters. Here is the comparison.

If you are a single delegate with a tight budget, the metro is a rational choice, and we say so. If you are escorting buyers, carrying gifts or presentation kits, or meeting hotel representatives across the city, a fixed pickup beats a kerbside lottery.

Who books with us for ATM

Hotel and resort sales teams. Sales directors often travel with a colleague or two. A Luxury SUV takes up to 6 passengers with 5–6 large bags. An Executive Sprinter takes up to 12.

Tourism boards and destination delegations. A delegation of ten or twelve with stand materials benefits from a Sprinter and a single named driver. For bigger parties, mini-coaches and coaches (20–56 seats) are available on request.

Airline and airport teams. Staff from carriers and airports make short, scheduled hops. The hourly chauffeur booking suits a day built from five meetings.

Tour operators and travel advisers from Canada. Many Canadian agents combine ATM with site inspections. The same booking can run an Abu Dhabi day (about 140 km each way) or a hotel inspection tour.

Hotel inspections and site visits during ATM

Travel buyers often use ATM week to inspect properties. Two Dubai landmarks come up repeatedly in enquiries: the Burj Al Arab and Atlantis The Royal. Both have their own approach and arrival procedures, and a chauffeur who has been briefed in advance can get you to the right entrance and the right contact.

For an inspection day, we recommend booking an hourly block with a fixed finishing time. Give the planner the name of each hotel and the name of the person you are meeting. If your host will meet you at a particular door, add that too. The planner then sets the order of visits to reduce backtracking.

Cruise-trade visitors can add the Dubai cruise terminal transfer page to their notes. It explains how ship days are timed.

Building buffers into an appointment diary

Our dispatchers plan trade-show diaries around three rules, and you can use them whether or not you book with us.

One buffer per cross-town hop. If two appointments are in different districts, leave at least 45 minutes between them even when the map says 20. A single missed lift or a long drop-off queue consumes the margin.

Anchor the day with two fixed points. Choose a morning pickup and an evening pickup that cannot move, then fill the middle with hourly blocks. People who book every leg separately end up renegotiating the day by lunchtime.

Brief the driver on the person, not just the place. Tell the chauffeur whom you are meeting and at which entrance. A hotel such as the Burj Al Arab handles arrivals differently from a conference hotel by the water, and a driver who knows the expected procedure saves you a conversation at the gate.

Receptions, dinners and the late return

ATM week has an evening life: receptions hosted by tourism boards, dinners with hotel groups, networking at rooftop venues. The advantage of a booked car at night is simple. You do not have to search for a taxi while holding a glass and a business card.

Send the planner the address of each evening event and a rough finishing time. For the return, we set a standing pickup that moves with the host. If the reception ends early, tell the chauffeur and he or she will be at the entrance in minutes. If it runs late, the car waits; ordinary pickups include 15 minutes of waiting, and for open-ended evenings we recommend an hourly booking so that the clock is clear to everyone.

Vehicles you can book

All classes are "or similar", and the exact model is confirmed at booking.

  • Executive Sedan: Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CT6/Lyriq or similar. Up to 3 passengers, 2 large and 2 cabin bags.
  • First Class Sedan: Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar. Up to 3 passengers, 2 large and 2 cabin bags.
  • Luxury SUV: Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar. Up to 6 passengers with 5–6 large bags.
  • Executive Sprinter: Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Up to 12 passengers with 12 bags.

Maybach, Rolls-Royce, stretch limousine and armoured vehicles are available on request, with availability confirmed at booking. Partner vehicles are no more than 4 model years old, and Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach up to 7. Most vehicles have Wi-Fi, water and phone chargers. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request. See the fleet page.

Discretion and etiquette

Chauffeurs on our bookings do not photograph clients or post about trips, and NDAs are signed on request. If you are hosting a minister, a hotel owner or a high-profile guest, tell us at booking and we will plan the arrival and departure points with your host. We work alongside your own security team where you have one; we are a chauffeur service, not a security company, and do not provide bodyguards or armed drivers.

In Dubai, courtesy matters. Your chauffeur will be formally dressed and will not raise business, politics or religion. Local law applies to alcohol, so we never promise drinks on board.

A sample ATM diary

  1. Sunday evening. Land at DXB. The chauffeur meets the team and drives to the hotel.
  2. Monday. A 9 am pickup for the opening day and a quiet return pickup arranged for 6 pm.
  3. Tuesday. An hourly block for three hotel meetings before lunch and a fixed return to the hall.
  4. Wednesday. An evening reception. A standing late pickup that adjusts to the host's finish.
  5. Thursday. Departure pickup timed for check-in at least three hours before the flight.

Mention your times, your hotel and the hall entrance in the booking notes.

How booking works from Toronto

Enroutz.ca runs from a Toronto desk. In Toronto, the GTA and Ontario, our own fleet and chauffeurs drive. In Dubai, a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local partner delivers the ride, and the Toronto desk books, confirms and invoices it. One booking, one confirmation, one invoice, one contact. Enter any pickup worldwide at the booker; the desk confirms a fixed quote.

Corporate accounts with monthly invoicing are available through corporate accounts, and our travel desk can assemble a multi-city plan. The Middle East hub and Dubai chauffeur service page show what else we cover in the Gulf.

Cancellation and event deadlines

Cancellation is measured from the scheduled pickup time. More than 72 hours' notice: no charge. 72 hours or less: 10%. 48 hours or less: 50%. 24 hours or less, or a no-show: 100%. Large events and conventions may carry a different deadline, stated on your confirmation. Show week is a busy time to move around Dubai, so read the line.

The World Health Expo page covers the January healthcare week, and the GITEX Global page covers technology. Browse everything in the trade shows hub or the events hub.

About 15 km, usually 20–35 minutes outside peak hours. The booker shows the exact fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm.
