How do you get around Las Vegas during the SEMA Show?
Most SEMA Show visitors choose between taxi, rideshare, hotel shuttle, rental car and a pre-booked chauffeur. The Convention Center is about 9 km (about 5.5 miles) from Harry Reid airport. A chauffeur wins when you travel as a team, carry samples or keep a tight meeting schedule; a taxi is fine for one person with one bag.
The SEMA Show is a working week. Parts-makers, fabricators, shop owners, buyers, media and executives from the automotive aftermarket gather in one city and attempt to meet each other in four days. That makes transport a scheduling problem more than a distance problem. A fixed pickup you control is worth more than the lowest possible fare on a slow Tuesday afternoon.
We handle that from Toronto. You book on the Enroutz.ca booker, which shows the exact all-in fare for your addresses and vehicle before payment. A vetted, licensed and commercially insured US chauffeur partner delivers the ride in Nevada. One confirmation, one invoice, one contact, day and night.
SEMA Show 2026 and 2027 at a glance
The organiser's website gives the following, and it is the source to trust if anything changes.

| Item | What the organiser publishes |
|---|---|
| Current edition | November 3–6, 2026 |
| Next edition after that | November 2–5, 2027 |
| Venue for 2026 | Las Vegas Convention Center, 3150 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89109 |
| Who can attend | Trade-only, with the general public admitted on Friday, November 6, 2026 only |
| Registration | Through the organiser's site |
The organiser's page lists the 2027 dates but does not name the 2027 venue, so we will not either. Confirm the venue at semashow.com when you plan that trip.
The public day is the detail that catches people out. On the one day the show opens beyond trade visitors, roads and entrances around the Convention Center are busier. If you are a trade visitor meeting a client at the end of the week, plan your Friday pickups earlier than you would on Wednesday.
Why SEMA Show week is different from other Las Vegas weeks
Las Vegas hosts conventions every month, so the city is practised at crowds. SEMA still feels different, for three reasons.

First, the visitors are people who care about vehicles. They arrive in groups, often from the same company, with sample cases, brochures and sometimes a laptop bag of components. Second, many of them are on their feet for ten hours and want a calm ride back. Third, a lot of the business happens after the floor closes, at dinners and hospitality events around town.
A chauffeur does not change what you do at SEMA. It changes the dead time between your commitments. That is a modest benefit on paper and a large one on a day with eleven meetings.
Flying into Las Vegas for SEMA: Harry Reid International
Harry Reid International Airport works through Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and the airport publishes garage, shuttle and ground-transportation information at harryreidairport.com. Our confirmation lists the pickup instructions for your terminal after we match your flight.

Every airport pickup is tracked against live flight data. If your plane is early, the chauffeur is early. If it is late, the car waits. After landing, we hold the car for 30 minutes on a domestic arrival and 60 minutes on an international one. Name-board meet-and-greet inside arrivals can be added at booking, with an alias on the board if you prefer.
For visitors from Canada, Europe or the Gulf, your route may include a US border check at a connecting airport, or at Las Vegas itself. Entry rules differ by passport. The official explanation of the Visa Waiver Program and ESTA is on the CBP site. Read it before you buy the ticket, not after.
The airport has been posting notices about repaving in the connector tunnels through December 2026. That is a good example of why we advise travellers to allow extra time on the way in and to leave earlier on the way out.
The Convention Center in practice
The Las Vegas Convention Center is run by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, whose site, lvcva.com, lists the address as 3150 Paradise Road. The campus has several halls. Before show week, find out which hall holds the exhibitor, supplier or meeting you are visiting, and note the nearest entrance.

When you book, put the hall name or the entrance in the notes field. A chauffeur who knows the entrance can approach from the correct side and avoid circling the campus. For the return, agree a pickup point that is not the busiest door. A short walk saves a long wait.
The Convention Center is not on the Strip itself. Many visitors stay at Strip hotels, which is why the trip between hotel and hall has more traffic than the trip from the airport to either one. Our Las Vegas page gives a wider picture of how the city moves.
Comparing your options honestly
Not every SEMA visitor needs a chauffeur. Here is how the options compare.
| Option | Typical time (hotel or airport to LVCC) | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Taxi | 15–45 min with queue | Metered | One traveller, one bag, no fixed time |
| Rideshare | 15–45 min with pickup wait | Surge-priced at show peaks | Solo travellers who are flexible |
| Hotel or show shuttle, if available | Varies by route and schedule | Usually included | People who can fit around a published timetable |
| Rental car | 15–30 min, then parking | Daily rate plus parking | Visitors who also drive out of town |
| Private chauffeur | 15–30 min | Fixed fare via booker | Teams, samples, executives, VIP buyers |
If your whole trip is a hotel, a hall and a bar within a few kilometres of each other, you can manage with a taxi. If you are doing three off-site meetings in a day, bring a client to dinner, or move a team of five, the fixed pickup is the better product.
Who books a chauffeur for SEMA
Company teams. Five or six colleagues arrive from Toronto on the same flight, with sample cases. A Luxury SUV takes up to 6 passengers and 5–6 large bags. For larger parties an Executive Sprinter takes up to 12 with 12 bags.
Buyers and distributors. They arrive one at a time and leave on different evenings. We book each leg separately in the same account, with one invoice at the end. Corporate travel managers can set this up under a corporate account.
Executives and hosts. A Mercedes-Benz S-Class or similar First Class Sedan carries up to 3 passengers, with 2 large and 2 cabin bags, and gives you a quiet room between the hall and the dinner. Wi-Fi, water and phone chargers are in most vehicles.
VIP guests. Where privacy matters, our chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, and NDAs are signed on request. See the VIP chauffeur service for how we handle discreet arrivals.
A sensible SEMA week schedule
- Day before the show: Land by mid-afternoon. A chauffeur meets you and takes you to the hotel. Check the organiser's badge-pickup hours before you plan the evening.
- Day one: One morning pickup, timed to reach the hall before the busiest arrival wave. Evening return fixed in advance.
- Days two and three: Use an hourly chauffeur block for off-site visits to shops or showrooms, then a fixed pickup for dinner.
- Last day: Leave early. If you are flying out that night, ask for a pickup three hours ahead.
Tell us your hotel, your flight numbers and the hall, and the planner will assemble the legs.
Evenings, hospitality events and late returns
Much of what gets decided at SEMA is decided after the floor closes: at a brand's dinner, a distributor's reception or a quiet table with a supplier. This is where a booked car earns its place. You do not want to be the executive standing in a hotel porte-cochère at ten at night, refreshing a phone while your host waits.
Give the planner two things. First, the address of each evening event, because Las Vegas venues often have separate entrances for guests and for vehicles. Second, a realistic finishing time. We schedule the return as a standing pickup that moves with you. If the dinner runs long, tell the chauffeur by text and he or she holds. Because the 15-minute waiting window applies to ordinary pickups, say so in advance if you expect a longer stay and we will set the booking as an hourly block instead.
One booking from Toronto, a US driver in Nevada
Enroutz.ca runs from a Toronto desk. In Toronto, the GTA and Ontario, we use our own fleet and chauffeurs. In Las Vegas, and everywhere else outside Ontario, a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local partner delivers the ride, with vehicles no more than 4 model years old (Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach up to 7). The booking, confirmation and invoicing remain with us.
Inside the United States, only US-licensed partners can drive point-to-point trips. A Canadian vehicle cannot take a local job between Nevada addresses. That is why a Toronto-to-Nevada booking is delivered by an American partner. Cross-border trips that run out of Toronto, such as Toronto to Buffalo, are a different case; see cross-border car service.
For wider context, the United States hub lists the cities we cover, and the Harry Reid airport page goes deeper on arrivals.
Cancellation, changes and show-week terms
The standard cancellation terms measure from the scheduled pickup time. More than 72 hours' notice: no charge. 72 hours or less: 10%. 48 hours or less: 50%. 24 hours or less, or a no-show: 100%. Large events and conventions may carry a different deadline. If one applies, your confirmation will say so.
Alcohol is never promised on board. Local law applies, and the chauffeur's job is to drive.
Other Las Vegas trade shows
SEMA falls in November, which also means the cooler season in Nevada. For the spring broadcast show in the same hall, read the NAB Show page. For January's consumer-electronics week, see the CES Las Vegas page. All of our trade show coverage sits in the trade shows hub, and every venue and festival in the events hub. If you travel often to shows, our trade show transportation page explains how we run accounts for exhibitors.
Frequently asked questions
When is the SEMA Show in Las Vegas?
The organiser lists November 3–6, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and November 2–5, 2027. Always check semashow.com before booking flights, because organisers can adjust dates and venues.
How far is the Convention Center from the airport?
About 9 km (about 5.5 miles). The drive is usually 15–30 minutes outside show peaks. The booker shows the exact fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm.
Is the SEMA Show open to the public?
The organiser describes it as trade-only. It lists Friday, November 6, 2026 as the only day open to the general public. Check the current rules on the official website.
Can I book a chauffeur for SEMA from Canada?
Yes. You book with the Enroutz.ca desk in Toronto. A US-licensed partner delivers the ride in Las Vegas. You get one confirmation and one invoice.
Is a chauffeur better than a taxi at SEMA?
For one person with a bag, a taxi is fine. For a team, samples, tight meeting times or important guests, a pre-booked chauffeur with a fixed fare is better.
Will the chauffeur wait if my flight is late?
Yes. We track every airport pickup. Waiting time after landing is 30 minutes on domestic arrivals and 60 minutes on international arrivals, and a late flight moves the pickup accordingly.
Can you take a group of ten from Toronto?
Yes. An Executive Sprinter takes up to 12 passengers and 12 bags. For larger groups, mini-coaches and coaches (20–56 seats) are available on request.
Do I need an ESTA?
It depends on your passport. The CBP website explains who uses ESTA. We cannot assess eligibility, so please check before you fly.
Can I request a child seat?
Yes, on request at booking.
