What is WHX Dubai, and how do delegates get around Dubai during it?

WHX Dubai is the organiser's current name for the healthcare show many delegates still search for as Arab Health. The organiser lists it for January 25–28, 2027. Delegates choose between taxi, metro, hotel shuttle and a pre-booked chauffeur; the last gives you a fixed fare and a named driver at arrivals.

If you landed here by searching "Arab Health Dubai transportation", you are in the right place. The organiser's own website now presents the Dubai show as WHX Dubai, part of the World Health Expo brand and of a wider World Healthcare Week. The old name does not appear on the organiser's homepage, which is why we use both here: the first so that you can find us, the second because it is the name you will see on your registration.

We are a Toronto-based chauffeur desk. For rides in Dubai, a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur partner drives; the booking, the confirmation and the invoice stay with the Enroutz.ca desk. That is useful if you are a Canadian physician, a hospital procurement officer, a clinic owner or a medical-device exhibitor travelling from Toronto and want a Gulf ride organised in the same place as your Toronto airport transfer.

World Healthcare WeekOne week in January 2027 across two venues

The homepage does not name the two venues, so neither do we. That is deliberate. Venue assignments between the main exhibition and the leadership or technology tracks can differ, and a chauffeur who delivers you to the wrong hall costs you more than a chauffeur who asks. When you book, put the exact venue name and the entrance or hall from your registration into the booking notes. Check the programme on the World Health Expo website before you finalise your plans.

Why the name changed, and why it matters for your booking

Healthcare professionals have searched for "Arab Health" for many years. The organiser, Informa, now markets the Dubai exhibition as WHX Dubai and groups it with sister events in other cities. From a travel point of view, the practical effect is small. It means that a hotel concierge, a taxi dispatcher or a colleague may use either name. When you talk to us, either name works. When you talk to your chauffeur on the day, give the venue name and the hall, not just the show name.

Flying into Dubai: DXB and the arrival process

Most WHX delegates land at Dubai International (DXB). The airport's own site, dubaiairports.ae, lists taxi, metro, bus, car park and car rental services, and promotes an airport VIP service. Your chauffeur is a separate option, and it works like this.

You book through our online booker with your flight number. We track the flight, so your pickup time moves with the aircraft. On an international arrival, the chauffeur waits up to 60 minutes after landing without extra charge. A name-board meet-and-greet inside arrivals is available as an add-on, and if you would like an alias on the board for privacy, say so when you book. Our meet-and-greet service page explains the process in more detail.

Trips in Dubai are by road, and DXB to the main exhibition district is about 15 km, with a usual drive of 20–35 minutes outside the peaks. If you are staying on the Palm Jumeirah, allow longer. Our DXB airport page shows the three terminals in more detail, and the Dubai chauffeur service page covers the city as a whole.

If you arrive on a private aircraft, the Dubai private-aviation page explains how we meet jets at the business-aviation terminals.

The exhibition district: how Dubai's roads behave in January

January is the cooler season in Dubai, which suits a week of walking between halls. It is also a heavy conference month, so hotels are well booked and the main arterial roads slow down in the early morning and again in the evening. The Dubai World Trade Centre is an exhibition venue on Sheikh Zayed Road, and it publishes road and metro information at dwtc.com. If your registration places you at a different hall, ask your chauffeur to approach from the entrance named on your pass.

Three things help:

  1. Leave earlier than the map suggests. The map shows 20 minutes. The first morning of a major show is not a map-day.
  2. Agree a pickup point away from the busiest door. A short walk to a quieter lane saves a long wait.
  3. Share a second contact. If your phone dies, your hospital colleague should be able to speak to the dispatcher.

Comparing your options honestly

Dubai has a good metro, plentiful taxis and several ride-hailing apps. Here is where each one fits for a healthcare delegate.

OptionTypical time (DXB to exhibition district)Cost noteBest for
Dubai MetroAbout 25–40 min with a change or walkLowestLight travellers staying near a station
Taxi20–35 min plus queueMeteredOne traveller with one bag
Ride-hailing app20–40 min plus pickup waitSurge-priced at peaksFlexible solo travellers
Hotel shuttle, if offeredVariesOften includedDelegates tied to a conference hotel
Private chauffeur20–35 minFixed fare via bookerTeams, speakers, VIP buyers, tight schedules

If you are alone, travelling light and staying beside a metro station, the metro is the sensible choice and we will tell you so. We earn the booking when you travel with a team, carry stands or posters, need a meeting-to-meeting day, or are hosting a distributor.

Who books with us for WHX

Exhibiting companies. Device makers and diagnostics firms ship stands separately; we move the people. A Luxury SUV takes up to 6 passengers with 5–6 large bags. An Executive Sprinter takes up to 12 with 12 bags.

Hospital and clinic delegations. A group from a Canadian hospital network flies in over two or three days. We assign flights to pickups and give your coordinator one contact. For larger groups, ask about mini-coaches and coaches (20–56 seats), available on request.

Speakers and chairs. A named chauffeur, a clear arrival point and a driver who keeps the schedule. Our chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips. NDAs are available on request. For high-profile movements, read about the VIP chauffeur service.

Investors and buyers. A day of meetings across Downtown, DIFC and a hotel lobby breakfast fits an hourly chauffeur booking, which keeps the car and driver with you.

Vehicles and comfort

All vehicle classes are "or similar", and the exact model is confirmed at booking.

  • Executive Sedan: Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CT6/Lyriq or similar. Up to 3 passengers, 2 large and 2 cabin bags.
  • First Class Sedan: Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar. Up to 3 passengers, 2 large and 2 cabin bags.
  • Luxury SUV: Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar. Up to 6 passengers.
  • Executive Sprinter: Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, up to 12 passengers.

Partner vehicles in Dubai are no more than 4 model years old, and the luxury marques (Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach) up to 7. Most vehicles have Wi-Fi, water and phone chargers. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request. For the whole range, see our fleet page.

Respect, dress and conduct

Dubai is a hospitable city with its own conventions. Business dress is formal and a little conservative. Your chauffeur will greet you in a way that is courteous and unhurried, and will not discuss your business. We do not promise alcohol on board, because local law applies. If you have dietary, prayer-time or other needs during the trip, mention them to your host or to our desk at booking; the chauffeur will not ask.

Beyond the halls: dinners, hospital visits and Abu Dhabi

A healthcare week in Dubai rarely stays inside the exhibition halls. Delegates visit private hospitals, meet distributors over dinner, and sometimes add a day in the capital. Abu Dhabi is about 140 km from Dubai, a drive of roughly 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on traffic, and our Abu Dhabi chauffeur service page explains how that trip is arranged. For a one-way intercity ride, state the Abu Dhabi address when you book and the desk will confirm a fixed quote.

For hospital visits, give your chauffeur the department or entrance rather than only the hospital name. Large medical campuses have several gates, and the right one saves ten minutes of walking in formal shoes.

A sample WHX itinerary for a Toronto delegation

Imagine four colleagues from a Toronto hospital leaving Pearson on a Saturday for a Monday-to-Thursday show.

  1. Toronto departure. The Pearson airport pickup is booked in the same account, with the same confirmation style.
  2. Dubai arrival. The chauffeur meets the group at DXB, tracks the flight and drives to the hotel.
  3. Show days. Morning pickup at the hotel, a return pickup at a quieter lane, and one hourly block for a hospital visit or a supplier lunch.
  4. Evening function. A late return, set as a standing pickup that moves if the dinner runs on.
  5. Departure. A pickup timed for a DXB check-in at least three hours before the flight.

How booking works for Dubai from Toronto

Enroutz.ca operates from a Toronto dispatch desk. In Toronto, the GTA and Ontario, our own fleet does the driving. In Dubai, the ride is delivered by a local chauffeur partner we have vetted for licence, insurance and vehicle age. You see one booking, receive one confirmation, and pay one invoice. You can always reach one desk, 24 hours a day.

Enter any pickup address worldwide at the booker; the desk confirms a fixed quote. The system shows the exact all-in fare for your addresses and vehicle before payment. For details on our overseas model, read our worldwide chauffeur network and the Middle East hub.

Cancellations and event terms

Cancellation is measured from the scheduled pickup time. More than 72 hours' notice: no charge. 72 hours or less: 10%. 48 hours or less: 50%. 24 hours or less, or a no-show: 100%. Large events and conventions may carry a different deadline, and the confirmation will state it. Because WHX week is one of the busiest in the Dubai calendar, we suggest booking early and reading that line.

More Dubai trade-show pages

If you travel to Dubai for several shows a year, our Arabian Travel Market page covers May, and GITEX Global covers the technology week. For hotel arrivals, see Atlantis The Royal and Burj Al Arab. Corporate travel managers can look at meetings, incentives and conferences and the corporate chauffeur service. Every show is listed in the trade shows hub and events hub.

Frequently asked questions

Is WHX Dubai the same as Arab Health?

The organiser now presents the Dubai exhibition as WHX Dubai under the World Health Expo name. Many delegates still search for Arab Health. Use WHX Dubai when you register, and either name when you talk to us.

When is WHX Dubai in 2027?

The organiser lists WHX Dubai for January 25–28, 2027, WHX Tech Dubai for January 26–28 and WHX Leaders Dubai for January 26. Check worldhealthexpo.com for any change.

Where is WHX Dubai held?

The organiser's homepage refers to two venues during World Healthcare Week but does not name them. Please confirm the venue and hall from your registration, and enter it in your booking notes.

How far is Dubai Airport from the main exhibition district?

About 15 km, usually 20–35 minutes outside peak hours. The booker shows the exact fare for your address and vehicle before you confirm.

Can I book from Canada?

Yes. Book with the Enroutz.ca desk in Toronto. A vetted, licensed and commercially insured Dubai partner delivers the ride.

Is the metro better than a chauffeur?

For a single traveller staying near a station, yes, and it is the lowest-cost option. A chauffeur is better for teams, luggage, schedules and VIP guests.

Will my chauffeur wait if the flight is late?

Yes. We track every airport pickup. After landing, we allow 60 minutes on international arrivals.

Can my group of twelve travel together?

Yes. An Executive Sprinter seats up to 12 passengers and carries 12 bags. For larger groups, ask about mini-coaches and coaches.

Can I get a car seat?

Yes, on request at booking.
