What does a wedding chauffeur do?
A wedding chauffeur drives the couple, the wedding party or guests to a planned timetable on the wedding day. That can include the bridal car, a guest shuttle between venues, and airport arrivals for people flying in. Enroutz.ca plans it in Toronto, Niagara and the surrounding area, with a fixed fare quoted before you pay.
A wedding runs on a timetable that nobody wants to think about on the day. The photographer has a window. The ceremony has a start time. The venue has a contract that ends at a given hour. The car is the part of the plan that connects each of those points, and when it fails, everything else slips.
A wedding chauffeur's job is to make the transport the quietest part of the day. This page explains how we plan it, which vehicles suit which part of a wedding, how destination weddings work for guests flying into Toronto, and what to settle with your planner before booking.
The bridal car: choosing the right vehicle
The couple's car sets the tone and has to work in practice. The practical tests are space, comfort and access.

- First Class Sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar). Up to three passengers with two large and two cabin bags. The rear seat is quiet and spacious, and it is the right choice for a couple in formal dress who want a calm journey.
- Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar). Up to six passengers. Higher seats make it easier to get in and out in a long dress, and there is room for attendants, flowers and a garment bag.
- Maybach, Rolls-Royce or a stretch limousine, on request. Availability is confirmed at booking. They are chosen for the arrival photographs as much as the ride.
- Executive Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CT6, Cadillac Lyriq or similar). A good choice for parents, grandparents and the officiant.
Every class is "or similar", and the exact model is confirmed at booking. If a particular colour or model matters to you, say so when you book and the desk will tell you what can be arranged. Wi-Fi, water and phone chargers are in most vehicles.
A wedding day timeline
A good plan works backwards from the ceremony. Here is a common pattern for a Toronto wedding with a ceremony at 3 p.m. The times are illustrative; your photographer and venue will set the real ones.

| Time | Movement | Vehicle |
|---|---|---|
| Late morning | Couple or party from hotel to preparation location | Sedan or SUV |
| Midday | Photographers, hair and make-up, florist handover | Sedan or SUV |
| Early afternoon | Wedding party to the ceremony | SUV or Sprinter |
| 3:00 p.m. | Ceremony | Car staged at venue |
| After ceremony | Couple to photo locations | Bridal car |
| Early evening | Guests from ceremony to reception | Sprinter or coach |
| Late evening | Couple to hotel; guests to hotels | Sedan, SUV, Sprinter |
Tell the desk about every stop, the address of each one and the time you need to leave. If a photographer wants a particular waterfront, park or skyline, we plan that stop into the booking and check access. Free waiting on non-airport pickups is 15 minutes, so for photo sessions the wait is built into the plan you agree.
Guest shuttles between venues
The move that causes most stress on a wedding day is the one between ceremony and reception. Guests arrive at slightly different times, some drive themselves, and some do not know the parking.

A shuttle solves the problem for guests who do not want to drive after the reception.
- Executive Sprinter. Up to 12 passengers and 12 bags. A good fit for a wedding party, family groups or a set of out-of-town guests.
- Mini-coach and coach. 20 to 56 seats on request, with availability confirmed at booking. For larger guest lists, one vehicle on a loop can serve many guests.
- Loop schedule. The shuttle runs on a fixed timetable between hotel, ceremony and reception, with a final departure after the last dance.
Guests who stay at the same hotel are easy to serve. Guests in different parts of the city are harder, and it may be better to arrange a late-evening loop that visits two or three hotel clusters. See group transportation for capacity and luggage details.
We do not promise drinks on board, and alcohol on a vehicle is subject to local law. The point of a guest shuttle is that nobody has to drive home from the reception.
Destination weddings: guests flying into Toronto
Toronto is a natural gateway for destination weddings in Ontario, with Niagara, about 130 km away, and Muskoka cottage country, 160 to 210 km north, within reach. Guests often arrive on different flights from the USA, Europe and the Middle East over two or three days.

A chauffeur plan for arrivals includes:
- Flight tracking on every airport pickup, so a delayed flight does not leave anyone waiting.
- Free waiting of 60 minutes after landing on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic arrivals.
- A name-board meet and greet inside arrivals as an add-on, so guests who have not been to Toronto before have a friendly face at the end of customs. An alias name can appear on the board if privacy matters.
- Child, toddler and booster seats on request at booking, for families with small children.
Our Pearson Airport limo page explains terminals and pickup, and the Toronto airport transfer guide is written for visitors arriving from abroad. The meet and greet page covers how the arrivals hall works.
Guests from outside Canada should check entry rules before they fly. The Government of Canada explains who needs an electronic travel authorization and who does not; the answer depends on passport and mode of travel. It is a good idea to send guests this link with the invitation.
If you are marrying in Ontario as a visitor
Couples from other countries sometimes choose Toronto or Niagara for the ceremony itself. According to a municipal clerk's guidance, such as the City of London's marriage licence page, Ontario has no residency, citizenship or medical requirement for a marriage licence. A licence is valid for 90 days from issue and can be used anywhere in the province. Fees, identification and appointment rules differ between municipalities, so check with the clerk's office where you plan to apply.
We do not give legal or immigration advice, but we are happy to build the transport around your appointment at the clerk's office, the ceremony and any pre-wedding gatherings.
Weddings in Niagara and beyond Toronto
Many couples choose Niagara for its vineyards, historic town and falls. Niagara Falls is about 130 km from Toronto, usually 1.5 to 2 hours, and Niagara-on-the-Lake is a similar distance. Weekend traffic can lengthen the drive, so plan the departure with a buffer.
Niagara Parks describes the falls as lit every evening in Queen Victoria Park, a feature that makes a late photo stop popular with couples; see the Niagara Parks site for what is on. For a day that combines sightseeing and transport for the wedding party, look at our private tours with driver page, and for the city itself, the Niagara Falls car service page.
For weddings in other cities, the ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur partner and is booked, confirmed and invoiced by the Enroutz.ca desk. See the Canada hub and worldwide chauffeur network.
Photography, decoration and discretion
Three practical points affect the vehicle on the day.
- Photography. Your photographer is yours. Our chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, which means your wedding images are not ours to share. A photograph beside the car is welcome; the chauffeur will position it for you.
- Decoration. Ask at booking whether a ribbon, flowers or signage can be added. The confirmation states what is agreed.
- Privacy. For couples or families who want a quiet arrival, we can use alias names and arrange back-of-house drop-offs with the venue.
NDAs are signed on request, which matters for public figures and families with strong privacy needs. The VIP chauffeur service page explains how this works.
Seasons and weather
Toronto weddings run through the seasons, and each one affects transport.
- Summer and early autumn are the peak. Saturdays book up first, and downtown streets are busy with other events.
- Winter weddings need extra time, a warm car and a way of keeping the dress dry. A snow-covered kerb is not a place for a long walk.
- Rain calls for a sedan or SUV positioned close to the door. We stage the car as near to the entrance as access allows.
For large wedding weekends or events that overlap with a festival or a conference, book early and tell the desk the dates.
Bridal car options compared
| Option | Strength | Weakness | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chauffeured sedan or SUV | Quiet, private, timed to your plan | Needs booking in advance | The couple and the wedding party |
| Stretch limousine, on request | Room for a group and a photo moment | Slower in tight streets | Pre-wedding celebrations |
| Guests' own cars | No transport cost to you | Parking, timing, drinking and driving | Small, local weddings |
| Rideshare | Flexible | Not guaranteed on a Saturday evening; surge pricing | Last-minute individual trips |
| Shuttle (Sprinter or coach) | Moves many guests in one go | Fixed schedule | Guests between hotel, ceremony and reception |
If your wedding is small and local, with a venue that has parking and a short drive, a chauffeur for the couple and nothing else may be enough. If your wedding is large or involves out-of-town guests, a shuttle is usually worth planning.
How to book a wedding chauffeur
Start with the wedding date, the ceremony and reception venues and the number of guests who will need transport. Enter the first pickup on the booker and it shows the fixed fare for the exact addresses and vehicle before you pay. For multi-vehicle plans, the travel desk and the 24/7 desk help build the day with your planner.
Share with the desk:
- The couple's pickup and photo locations.
- The ceremony and reception addresses and times.
- The guest hotel addresses and expected number of riders.
- The flight details for guests arriving by air.
- The planner's contact details for changes on the day.
For the full range of vehicles and capacities, see the fleet page. If you are also planning other events around the wedding, see event transportation.
Cancellation is measured from the scheduled pickup time: more than 72 hours' notice, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100%. Large events may carry a different deadline, stated on the confirmation.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a wedding chauffeur cost in Toronto?
The fare is fixed and quoted before you pay, for the exact addresses, vehicle and hours of your plan. The online booker shows the all-in figure. We do not publish rate tables because the answer depends on your timetable.
Which car is best for the bride and groom?
A First Class Sedan suits a couple travelling alone; a Luxury SUV is easier for a long dress and carries attendants. Maybach, Rolls-Royce and stretch limousines are available on request, with availability confirmed at booking.
Can you shuttle wedding guests between the ceremony and reception?
Yes. An Executive Sprinter carries up to 12 passengers, and mini-coaches and coaches of 20 to 56 seats are available on request. We plan a loop that fits your timetable and the hotels your guests use.
Can you collect wedding guests from Pearson Airport?
Yes. Airport pickups include flight tracking, 60 minutes of free waiting after landing on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic arrivals. A name-board meet and greet inside arrivals is available as an add-on.
Do you serve weddings in Niagara-on-the-Lake?
Yes. Niagara is about 130 km from Toronto, usually 1.5 to 2 hours by road. We plan the day with a buffer for weekend traffic and can also look after your guests' arrivals.
Can the car wait during photographs?
Yes. Waiting during photographs is built into the plan you agree. Standard free waiting is 15 minutes on non-airport pickups, so we set the timetable with your photographer.
Can we decorate the car?
Ask at booking. The desk will tell you what can be arranged and it will appear on your confirmation.
Can I get a child seat for a flower girl or ring bearer?
Yes. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request at booking.
Will the chauffeur serve champagne?
No. We never promise drinks on board, and local law applies. Many couples take a toast at the venue and let the chauffeur do the driving.
