How do you get to the Monaco Grand Prix without getting stuck?
Plan the airport leg, the hotel leg and the circuit leg separately. Nice airport is about 30 km from Monaco, a drive of 35 minutes in quiet traffic and much longer on race weekend. A pre-booked chauffeur, a train or a helicopter are the realistic choices.
A Monaco Grand Prix chauffeur earns the booking on one fact: the principality is about two square kilometres in size, the race is run on its public streets, and every guest, team member and spectator is trying to reach the same few hundred metres. The roads that carry normal traffic are partly occupied by the circuit, the grandstands and the paddock. Success depends on knowing which streets are open when, and on arriving at the right point before the crowd does.
Enroutz.ca is a Toronto-based chauffeur service. On the Riviera, the ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur partner, and the Enroutz.ca desk books, confirms and invoices it. You receive one confirmation, one invoice and one contact, available around the clock. Partner vehicles are no more than four model years old, and Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach up to seven.
Monaco Grand Prix 2027: dates and what the organisers say
The Automobile Club de Monaco lists the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco 2027 for 3 to 6 June 2027, and describes the introduction of the sprint format, with two qualifying sessions and two races. The Formula 1 website lists the Monaco round as Round 8 of its 2027 calendar, held on 4 to 6 June, which is the Friday to Sunday of the race weekend. The organiser's Thursday is therefore an earlier day in the programme. Both are shown on the Automobile Club de Monaco site, the club's Grand Prix ticketing site and the Formula 1 calendar.
On our last check, the club's ticketing site showed the Pack Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and the Pack Grand Prix (Friday to Sunday) as sold out, with individual tickets still available. Availability changes, so confirm with the official seller. Your ticket tells you which entrance and which grandstand you use. Give that detail to the desk so the drop-off is at the correct side.
Getting to Monaco: road, rail and air
The Visit Monaco site, visitmonaco.com, lists the ways in: Nice airport, train and the helicopter service between Nice and Monaco, with its heliport. The distances worth knowing:

- Nice Côte d'Azur airport to Monaco: about 30 km, usually 35 to 50 minutes on the coast road or the motorway in quiet traffic.
- Nice city centre to Monaco: about 20 km.
- Menton to Monaco: about 10 km, near the Italian border.
- Cannes to Monaco: about 60 km, usually an hour to 90 minutes.
- Cap-d'Ail and Beausoleil, which touch Monaco's boundary: a few kilometres.
On race weekend, treat the road time as a range. A typical Saturday afternoon drive from Nice to Monaco can double. The train along the coast is not affected by road traffic, and the helicopter flight from the Nice heliport is a matter of minutes. Our Nice Côte d'Azur airport page explains arrivals, and the Nice and Monaco chauffeur service page covers the coast in general.
Arriving at Nice
Nice has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, with a shuttle between them. With Enroutz.ca:

- Flights are tracked, so your pickup follows the real landing time.
- International arrivals receive 60 minutes of free waiting after landing.
- A name-board meet and greet inside arrivals is available as an add-on, with an alias name on the board if you want privacy.
- The chauffeur messages you before landing with the vehicle and the meeting point.
France is six hours ahead of Toronto in June. Most itineraries from Toronto connect through another European hub, so arrival times are spread across the day. If you land after a long overnight journey, a car waiting at the door is a better start than a taxi queue at a busy terminal.
Your real options, compared

| Option | Typical time Nice airport to Monaco | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regional train | Roughly 20 to 30 minutes from Nice-Ville, plus the link from the airport | Lowest | Light luggage, flexible timing, race weekend when roads are slow |
| Helicopter | A matter of minutes in the air, plus transfers at each end | Premium | Guests for whom time is the only constraint |
| Taxi | 35 to 90 minutes depending on traffic | Metered | Unplanned trips; queues build on race days |
| Rideshare | Similar to taxi; pickup and drop-off areas are restricted near the circuit | Surge-priced | Flexible trips off race days |
| Hotel shuttle | Depends on the hotel | Sometimes included | Guests of larger hotels |
| Rental car | Parking in Monaco is scarce on race weekend | Daily rate plus parking | Guests staying outside the principality who know the area |
| Private chauffeur | Door to door, no queue, routing adjusted to road closures | Fixed fare via booker | Fixed schedules, VIPs, groups, late returns |
If you have a ticket for a single grandstand, are travelling alone with light luggage and can handle a walk, the train is the best choice and it often beats the road. A chauffeur is the better answer for luggage, for evening events in formal dress, for groups and for the return to a hotel outside the principality after the crowds leave the circuit.
How the race weekend unfolds
The programme runs from Thursday to Sunday, according to the club. For logistics, think of it in four phases:

- Arrival day. Teams, guests and hospitality staff reach their hotels. Roads are still mostly open, and this is the easiest day to move around.
- Practice and qualifying days. The circuit is closed to normal traffic during sessions, and the crowds build up. Plan your movements around the session times published by the organisers.
- Race day. The strictest restrictions are in place. Guests are usually inside the principality early and stay until the track reopens. Plan to arrive well before the start and leave later than the crowd.
- Departure day. The Monday morning exodus puts heavy traffic on the coast road and at Nice airport. Allow generous time for flights.
The circuit and the streets around it are set by the organisers and local authorities, and the details change by year. We do not publish a closure map. Your chauffeur works from the current plan and chooses the drop-off point accordingly. Official programme information is on the club's site.
Where to stay and how that changes the drive
Monaco has a limited number of hotel rooms, and many visitors stay in Nice, Menton, Cap-d'Ail or Beausoleil and travel in each day. Nice is about 20 km away, Menton about 10 km, and Cap-d'Ail and Beausoleil only a few kilometres. If you stay outside the principality, decide in advance whether you will return to the hotel for the evening or stay in Monaco. For long days, a chauffeur on an hourly booking can wait or return on call; see hourly chauffeur service.
For guests who want to stay out of the traffic altogether, a pickup at the hotel at the time of your choice, a drop-off at a point near your entrance and a pre-arranged return time make the day much simpler. The booker lets you reserve each leg and see the fare before you pay.
Yachts, hospitality and grandstands
A large part of race weekend is spent in hospitality: at terraces overlooking the circuit, on yachts moored at the harbour, in hotel suites and at private lunches. Each has its own access rules, and many require a named guest list or a pass. Send the desk the host's name, the address or the quay, and the time. The chauffeur coordinates with the host's staff about the best drop-off, and you carry the pass or confirmation you were given.
Alcohol laws apply and no drinks are promised on board. Evening dress is common, so ask for a vehicle with room for clothing bags. For larger groups, an Executive Sprinter carries up to twelve with twelve bags, and mini-coaches and coaches (20 to 56 seats) are available on request. See group transportation and event transportation.
Drivers, teams, VIPs and discretion
Race weekend brings team personnel, sponsors, public figures and their guests. Enroutz.ca's standard approach is a booking under an alias if needed, an unbranded vehicle, a chauffeur who does not photograph clients or post about trips, and NDAs signed on request. For a principal who needs a First Class Sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar, up to three passengers with two large and two cabin bags), or a Maybach or Rolls-Royce on request, availability is confirmed at booking.
If a principal has a security team, the chauffeur works alongside it. Enroutz.ca is a chauffeur service and not a security company, and does not supply bodyguards or armed drivers. See the VIP and celebrity chauffeur page and the executive protection transport page for how the cooperation runs.
The Riviera season in one trip
The Monaco Grand Prix follows the Cannes Film Festival, which the festival lists for 11 to 22 May 2027. If your calendar includes both, the Cannes Film Festival page describes that side of the coast. For other events we cover, see the events hub. For Geneva ski-resort transfers in winter, the Geneva airport page explains the Swiss and French sectors.
Flying in from Toronto
Many Canadians who follow Formula 1 combine Monaco with another stop in Europe. The flight from Toronto usually connects, and arrival times in Nice vary. Check the French and Schengen entry rules for your passport with your airline and the official government site before you travel. We do not quote entry rules on this page.
For corporate groups, a corporate account gives monthly invoicing and cost-centre references, and the corporate chauffeur service page explains how an assistant can book for a team. The Europe hub lists every European city we cover.
How booking works
Open the booker, enter any pickup in the world, and add the destination, date and time. The desk confirms a fixed quote for the exact addresses and vehicle before you pay. Vehicle classes are "or similar", and the model is confirmed at booking. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request.
Cancellation: more than 72 hours' notice, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less or no-show, 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. Large events and conventions may carry a different deadline, stated on the confirmation.
Frequently asked questions
When is the Monaco Grand Prix 2027?
The Automobile Club de Monaco lists it for 3 to 6 June 2027. Formula 1 lists the race round as 4 to 6 June, which is the Friday to Sunday of the same weekend.
How far is Monaco from Nice airport?
About 30 km. In quiet traffic the drive is around 35 to 50 minutes. On race weekend, plan for much longer, or consider the train or helicopter.
Is there a helicopter from Nice to Monaco?
Visit Monaco lists a helicopter service between Nice and Monaco, with a heliport in the principality. Flight time is minutes, but you still need transfers at each end, which a chauffeur can arrange.
Can a chauffeur drop me at the grandstand?
The chauffeur takes you to the closest permitted drop-off point for your entrance. Roads near the circuit are closed or restricted, so the last stretch may be on foot. Send your ticket details to the desk.
Should I stay in Monaco or outside it?
Monaco has limited rooms. Nice, Menton, Cap-d'Ail and Beausoleil are common alternatives. A chauffeur or the train handles the daily trip, and the return after the race needs extra time.
Can you pick me up late at night from a hospitality venue?
Yes. Give the desk the venue and a pickup time, and the chauffeur is waiting. For an evening with several stops, book by the hour so the same chauffeur stays with you.
Can I book under an alias?
Yes. Bookings and meet-and-greet boards can carry an alias, and chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips. NDAs are signed on request.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Your flight is tracked, so the pickup follows the real landing time. International arrivals include 60 minutes of free waiting after landing.
Do you own vehicles in Monaco?
No. On the Riviera the ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed, commercially insured local partner and is booked, confirmed and invoiced by the Enroutz.ca desk in Toronto.
