Las Vegas airport car service, explained for a first-time visitor
Las Vegas is one of the few big cities where the airport sits right next to the main attraction. Harry Reid International Airport is about 8 km (5 mi) from the Strip, and a drive to most resorts takes between 15 and 35 minutes. That short distance makes the airport transfer look trivial. It is not always trivial, because the last mile in front of a major resort is where time is lost, and a Thursday arrival during a convention week is a different animal from a Tuesday in July.
Enroutz.ca is a chauffeur desk in Toronto. For Las Vegas the ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur partner, booked, confirmed and invoiced by us as one transaction. You get one confirmation and one contact, day or night. We do not own cars or offices in Nevada; the local partner does the driving, and our desk answers for the whole booking. Partner vehicles are no more than four model years old, with luxury marques allowed up to seven.
Enter your arrival flight, resort or address and your party size in the online booker. It displays the exact all-in fare for that vehicle before you pay.
Which terminal will my chauffeur meet me at?

Harry Reid International lists Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 for passengers. Your airline decides which you arrive at, and your chauffeur waits for the one on your itinerary. The confirmation states the meeting point, and a name-board greeting inside arrivals can be added.
The airport's own website lists Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, each with its own parking garage and security checkpoints. Which of them you use depends on the airline, so we read the terminal from your flight details rather than ask you to guess. If your airline swaps gates or terminals before you travel, the desk updates the chauffeur.
Pre-arranged pickup locations at an airport of this size can change when construction moves, so we do not quote a door number or kerb from memory. The exact point is in your confirmation, and the airport's official site, harryreidairport.com, is the authority on current rules.
A current-conditions warning: connector tunnel lane closures
The airport's home page carries a notice that lane closures in the northbound and southbound airport connector tunnels are scheduled through December 2026 for repaving, and advises travellers to allow extra travel time. We take it seriously because the tunnels are one of the quickest routes between the airport and the Strip. When they are restricted, chauffeurs use surface roads or alternative links, and a trip that normally takes 15 minutes can stretch.

The practical advice is simple: if you have a dinner reservation, a show or a keynote, add a buffer. If you are flying on the last day of your stay, allow additional time to reach the airport. The chauffeur monitors conditions on the day, and the desk will tell you if the plan changes.
Flying in from Toronto: you land as a domestic passenger
Toronto Pearson is one of the Canadian airports where US-bound passengers are inspected before departure. According to US Customs and Border Protection, precleared travellers bypass CBP and TSA inspections on US arrival. For a flight to Las Vegas that normally means you arrive without a federal inspection hall in between the gate and baggage claim.

That is useful, because it shortens the gap before your chauffeur sees you. If you are leaving from the Greater Toronto Area, read the Pearson Airport limo page so you leave in time for the inspection step at the Toronto end.
Passengers connecting from Europe or the Middle East via another US gateway will have cleared inspection at that first airport and also arrive domestically in Las Vegas. Direct international arrivals receive the longer 60-minute free wait; domestic arrivals receive 30 minutes.
Distances from LAS to the places visitors actually go

| Destination | Distance | Typical drive time |
|---|---|---|
| Resorts on the Strip (Bellagio, Caesars, Wynn) | about 8 km (5 mi) | 15 to 35 minutes |
| Las Vegas Convention Center | about 8 km (5 mi) | 15 to 40 minutes |
| Downtown and Fremont Street | about 11 km (7 mi) | 20 to 40 minutes |
| Henderson | about 15 km (9 mi) | 20 to 40 minutes |
| Red Rock Canyon area | about 30 km (19 mi) | 30 to 50 minutes |
| Hoover Dam | about 60 km (37 mi) | 50 to 80 minutes |
Those are typical outside event rush hours. Our estimates are deliberately wide. When a major convention ends, thousands of delegates leave at the same moment, and a ten-minute ride becomes forty.
LAS to the Strip, resort by resort
Strip resorts are large, and they have several entrances. A car that drops you at the wrong porte-cochère can leave you with a ten-minute walk through a casino floor with your luggage. Tell us which tower, which hotel entrance and whether you are checking in at a private concierge desk, and the chauffeur will use the correct approach.
Our page on Bellagio describes one of the busiest approaches in detail, and our Las Vegas car service overview covers the Strip, downtown and beyond. If you are staying away from the Strip, for instance in Summerlin or Henderson, the booker handles the address in the same way.
Conventions and trade shows
Las Vegas hosts some of the biggest trade shows in the world, and the traffic around them has its own rhythm. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority owns and operates the Las Vegas Convention Center, a 4.6 million square-foot complex that it says has finished a major renovation. During show weeks, the roads around the centre fill at the start and end of each day.
If you are an exhibitor or a visitor, plan to move early. Our pages on CES, the NAB Show and the SEMA Show describe the practical issues for each. The LVCVA site at lvcva.com is the official source for the venue. For a wider view, see trade show transportation and the trade shows hub.
Honest comparison: LAS to the Strip by every option
For a short ride with one bag, the lowest-cost option can be perfectly good. The table below shows when each choice makes sense.
| Option | Typical time to a Strip resort | Cost note | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-booked chauffeur | 15 to 35 minutes | Fixed fare via booker | Groups, high rollers, executives, late arrivals |
| Rideshare | 20 to 45 minutes plus pickup wait | Surge-priced | Short notice, light luggage |
| Taxi | 15 to 35 minutes | Metered | No booking, no luggage problems |
| Airport shuttle | 30 to 75 minutes with stops | Lowest | Solo visitors, flexible schedules |
| Rental car | Quick, but valet and resort fees add up | Varies | Excursions to Red Rock, Hoover Dam and beyond |
If you are a solo traveller going to a single resort, a shared shuttle or a taxi is a reasonable choice. A chauffeur is the better choice for groups of four or more, for anyone arriving late at night, or for travellers who want a vehicle waiting rather than a queue.
Group arrivals, bachelor parties, weddings and corporate incentives
Las Vegas is a destination for groups. Everyone lands on different flights, and the organiser wants a single point of contact. We can tag each arrival to the same booking reference, send chauffeurs to each terminal and assemble the group at the resort. Read about group transportation and the Executive Sprinter for parties of up to 12.
For weddings, the booking can cover guest arrivals as well as the couple's car. For incentive trips, see meetings, incentives and conferences. Corporate buyers can open a corporate account with monthly invoicing.
Vehicles for Las Vegas
Two travellers with modest luggage are well served by an Executive Sedan (a Mercedes-Benz E-Class, a Cadillac CT6 or Lyriq or similar), which takes three passengers with two large and two cabin bags. If you want the quietest ride, choose the First Class Sedan, such as a Mercedes-Benz S-Class or BMW 7 Series, with the same capacity.
Four to six people, or anyone bringing golf clubs and shopping, should look at the Luxury SUV: a Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban or GMC Yukon Denali or similar, seating up to six with five to six large bags. A bachelor party, a wedding group or a sales team of up to twelve fits an Executive Sprinter, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with room for twelve bags. Mini-coaches and coaches seat 20 to 56 and are available on request.
Day trips from Las Vegas
Hoover Dam is about 60 km (37 mi) from the airport and a popular half-day trip. Red Rock Canyon is closer, at about 30 km (19 mi) from the airport. Because these trips are one-way transfers or hourly bookings, you can choose to start from the airport, stop on the way to your hotel and then continue. Our hourly chauffeur service explains how hours are counted.
For Grand Canyon visits, which are long days with early departures, speak to the desk first so that the right vehicle and rest stops can be planned. We do not publish a fixed itinerary, because opening hours and park rules vary with season.
Waiting, delays and cancellations
Flight tracking is included on every airport pickup. A delay moves the pickup time, with no charge. After landing, you receive 30 minutes of free waiting on domestic arrivals and 60 minutes on international arrivals, and 15 minutes on other pickups.
Cancellations are measured from the scheduled pickup. There is no charge with more than 72 hours' notice; 10 percent at 72 hours or less; 50 percent at 48 hours or less; 100 percent at 24 hours or less, or for a no-show. Large events and conventions may carry a different deadline, shown on your confirmation. This matters in Las Vegas, where show weeks are busiest.
Privacy, family travel and extras
Photographing clients or posting about a trip is off limits for our chauffeurs, and NDAs are signed on request. For private bookings, an alias name can appear on the name board. Child, toddler and booster seats can be requested at booking, and Wi-Fi, water and phone chargers are in most vehicles. We do not promise alcohol on board, and Nevada law applies.
Enroutz.ca is a chauffeur service, not a security company; we do not provide armed drivers or bodyguards, but we work alongside your own security team.
Next stop after Las Vegas
If your trip continues to the coast, compare the Los Angeles airport page and the San Francisco airport page. Our USA hub lists every US city we serve, and the airports directory lists every gateway.
