Westchester County Airport (HPN) is the airport people choose when they want to avoid the New York metropolitan scrum. It is small, it is north of the city, and it is the nearest commercial and business airport to the Connecticut border. For a family in Greenwich, a hedge-fund team in Rye, or a CEO heading to a board meeting in White Plains, a Westchester airport car service is the shortest sensible way from the aircraft to the front door.
This page explains how a chauffeur pickup works at HPN, the three FBOs the airport names, the county's own rules for pre-booked cars, the real distances to Manhattan and Greenwich, and how to arrange it from the Enroutz.ca desk in Toronto.
How does a Westchester airport car service work at HPN?
You tell the booker whether you are on a private aircraft or an airline flight, add the FBO or terminal and your destination, and a licensed US partner chauffeur is assigned. The desk tracks the arrival, and the fare is fixed and shown before you pay.
There are two ways to arrive at HPN: through the passenger terminal on a scheduled airline, or through one of the airport's FBOs on a private or charter aircraft. The pickup is different in each case, and the booking asks for it. For an airline arrival, we need the flight number. For a private arrival, we need the FBO, the aircraft registration and the planned landing time.
Inside the United States the ride is delivered by a US-licensed partner, because Canadian-plated vehicles cannot do domestic point-to-point work. The Enroutz.ca desk in Toronto books, confirms and invoices the ride, so there is one confirmation, one invoice and one point of contact around the clock. Partner vehicles are no more than four model years old; Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach vehicles up to seven.
HPN in plain facts
Westchester County's airport website says the airport is about five miles east of White Plains and about 30 miles north of New York City. It lists an address of 148 Martine Avenue, White Plains, New York 10601, and describes sections for airlines, general aviation, a terminal building and ground transportation. It also notes the airport's proximity to Interstates 684 and 287.

Two things follow from that geography. First, Manhattan is a real drive south, not a hop, so the route and the hour matter. Second, you are within a short drive of Greenwich, Connecticut, which makes HPN a natural choice for travellers whose destination is the Connecticut border rather than the city.
The three FBOs the airport names
The county's flight services page names three FBOs: Million Air, Atlantic Aviation and Signature Flight Support. The page describes each as offering full services for aircraft of all sizes, and adds that Atlantic Aviation specialises in light aircraft up to 12,500 pounds and provides limited ramp services for aircraft up to 50,000 pounds. It also lists Wings Air for helicopter charters and Tradewind Aviation for private charters and shuttle flights, without identifying either as an FBO.

We do not describe any one FBO's lounge, parking or customs arrangements here, because the airport page does not publish them and we have not been able to check each operator's own website. Your charter documents will name the FBO. Tell us the name when you book and we position the chauffeur there.
If you are working out which New York-area airport to use for an aircraft, the Teterboro page covers the New Jersey side, and the New York car service page covers the city.
What the county says about pre-booked cars
HPN publishes clear rules about who may pick up. The county's taxi and limousine page says that arriving passengers may book any company licensed by the Westchester County Taxi and Limousine Commission, or a taxi service licensed in Harrison, North Castle, Rye Brook or White Plains. Taxis must be arranged ahead of time by contacting the company directly, and cruising for passengers and hailing unoccupied taxis are not permitted at the airport.

The county's ground transportation page adds that curb space in front of the main terminal is limited, that vehicles not picking up or dropping off passengers may not loiter or idle, and that standing vehicles will be ticketed and unattended vehicles towed.
What that means in practice: a pre-booked chauffeur with a known arrival time is better suited to HPN than a car that circles. We dispatch only licensed partners and we time the chauffeur's arrival to your landing, not before it. The pages do not describe permit details for pre-arranged cars, so for anything specific, such as a particular building or an unusual vehicle, we confirm directly with the airport and the FBO.
Distances and drive times from HPN
HPN is close to Greenwich and White Plains and a proper drive from Manhattan. The figures below are approximate, and the booker works out the exact distance for your address. Peak-hour traffic on the main roads lengthens every journey.
| Journey from HPN | Distance (about) | Typical drive time |
|---|---|---|
| White Plains | about 8 km (5 miles) | 10 to 20 minutes |
| Greenwich, Connecticut | 10 to 15 km (6 to 9 miles) | 15 to 30 minutes |
| Midtown Manhattan | about 50 km (30 miles) | 55 to 90 minutes |
| LaGuardia Airport (LGA) | about 40 km (25 miles) | 40 to 70 minutes |
| Teterboro (TEB) | about 50 km (31 miles) | 50 to 80 minutes |
If your journey continues to a New York airport, see the LaGuardia page and the JFK page. The Hudson crossing is the main variable between HPN and Teterboro.
Greenwich, Rye and the Connecticut border
The most common private-aviation destination from HPN is not Manhattan at all. It is the string of towns along the shore and the ridge: Greenwich, Rye, Bedford, Armonk, New Canaan. The roads are narrow, many of the properties are gated, and some have private drives that a navigation system will not find.

For those trips, we need three things from you. The street address and the gate or entry code. A name for the chauffeur to give the gate. And the instruction if your driveway is not suitable for a full-size SUV, because a Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar) can be a tight fit on a country lane. If so, we choose a First Class Sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar), which takes up to three passengers with two large and two cabin bags, and send luggage separately if there is a lot of it.
Crossing into Connecticut is not a border crossing; no documents are needed between the two states. Cross-border trips from Toronto to the US are a separate matter, covered below.
Meeting your aircraft: what we need from you
For a private arrival at one of the three FBOs, give us:
- The FBO name as stated in your charter paperwork.
- The aircraft registration and the operator.
- The planned landing time.
- Passenger names, or an alias. The name-board meet-and-greet is available as an add-on, with an alias on the board if you want privacy.
- Bags, including anything oversized.
- The first destination, with gate details.
Whether a vehicle may drive onto the ramp to meet the aircraft is decided by the FBO and the airport. We do not promise it. If your FBO allows it, we give them the chauffeur's name in advance; otherwise the chauffeur waits at the FBO's designated pickup point. We also do not know whether each FBO offers customs for international arrivals, because the airport page does not say, so ask your handler before you rely on it.
Flight tracking is included on every airport pickup. The free waiting allowance is 60 minutes after landing on international arrivals, 30 minutes on domestic, and 15 minutes on other pickups, as stated on your confirmation.
Airline passengers at HPN
If you are flying into HPN on a scheduled flight, the pickup is at the terminal, not at an FBO. The county's airport website notes that domestic travellers need to be REAL ID compliant, a requirement that took effect on May 7, 2025, and recommends arriving at least two hours before departure. For arrivals, the chauffeur waits at the terminal pickup area; the name-board meet-and-greet inside the terminal is an add-on.
How the options compare
| Option | Time to Greenwich | Cost note | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-booked chauffeur (Enroutz.ca) | 15 to 30 minutes | Fixed fare via booker | Private passengers, families, schedules, gated destinations |
| Licensed local taxi, booked ahead | 15 to 30 minutes | Metered | One or two travellers with light bags, going to a town centre |
| Bee-Line bus, linking to Metro-North | Longer, with transfers | Lowest | Light packers heading to a station, with time to spare |
| Rental car | 15 to 30 minutes | Rental plus fuel and parking | Self-drivers who know the area |
| Own car left at the airport | 15 to 30 minutes | Parking charges | Local residents flying commercially |
The county's ground transportation page notes that the Bee-Line bus system connects with Metro-North Railroad. If you have one small bag, no schedule and a station as a destination, public transport is the lowest-cost choice and we say so. The chauffeur versus rideshare guide compares the rest.
Vehicles and extras
The Executive Sedan and First Class Sedan carry up to three passengers with two large and two cabin bags. The Luxury SUV takes up to six passengers and five to six large bags, and the Executive Sprinter up to twelve passengers with twelve bags. Maybach, Rolls-Royce, stretch limousine and armoured vehicles are available on request, with availability confirmed at booking. The exact model is confirmed at booking. See the fleet page.
Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request. Most vehicles carry Wi-Fi, water and phone chargers. Chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, and NDAs are signed on request. Local law applies to alcohol and we never promise it on board. Enroutz.ca is a chauffeur service, not a security company; we work alongside a client's own security team, as described on the executive protection transport page.
Booking from Toronto
Toronto to Westchester by road is about 750 km (470 miles), and most clients fly. If you are leaving from Toronto, see the Toronto FBO page for the departure end, and the black car service in Toronto page for the rest of the Toronto trip. The Toronto leg is operated from Toronto; the Westchester leg is delivered by a US-licensed partner. The USA hub and the private aviation hub list the other cities and FBOs we cover.
Cancellation terms: more than 72 hours' notice, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. Large events and conventions may carry a different deadline, which is stated on the confirmation.
Frequently asked questions

How far is Westchester Airport from New York City?
Westchester County's airport website says HPN is about 30 miles north of New York City, which is about 48 km. Midtown is usually 55 to 90 minutes by road, depending on the time of day.
How far is Westchester Airport from Greenwich, Connecticut?
About 10 to 15 km (6 to 9 miles), usually 15 to 30 minutes. It is the most common private-aviation journey from HPN.
Which FBOs are at Westchester County Airport?
The county's flight services page names Million Air, Atlantic Aviation and Signature Flight Support. Your charter documents will say which one your aircraft is using, and we put the chauffeur there.
Can any car service pick up at HPN?
Not any. The county says arriving passengers may book a company licensed by the Westchester County Taxi and Limousine Commission or a taxi service licensed in Harrison, North Castle, Rye Brook or White Plains, and that taxis must be arranged in advance.
Can the chauffeur meet me at the aircraft?
That is decided by the FBO and the airport. We cannot promise it. Where your FBO allows it, we give them the chauffeur's name in advance; otherwise the chauffeur waits at the FBO pickup point.
Do you offer pickups for airline flights at HPN as well as private jets?
Yes. For an airline arrival we need the flight number, and the chauffeur waits at the terminal pickup area. The name-board meet-and-greet is an add-on.
Is there curb waiting at the HPN terminal?
The county says curb space in front of the main terminal is limited and that vehicles not picking up or dropping off may not loiter or idle. Our chauffeur is timed to your landing so the car is not left standing.
How do I book from Toronto?
Open the booker, enter the HPN or FBO pickup and your destination, and the desk confirms a fixed quote. One confirmation, one invoice and one contact, around the clock.
