The Riviera is served by a handful of airports, and Nice Côte d'Azur is the main one. If you are flying in on your own aircraft or a charter, a Nice private jet terminal chauffeur has a specific job: to be at the Business Aviation Terminal, not the airline terminals, with the right vehicle and the right destination.

This page explains what Nice airport's own website says about its business-aviation terminal, which neighbouring airports are part of the same group, how far Monaco, Cannes and Saint-Tropez really are, how Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix weeks change the picture, and how to book through the Enroutz.ca desk in Toronto.

How does a Nice private jet terminal chauffeur transfer work?

You tell the booker your aircraft, your handler and your destination. A licensed local chauffeur partner meets you at the Nice Business Aviation Terminal, the desk tracks the arrival, and the Enroutz.ca fare is fixed and quoted before you pay, with one confirmation and one invoice.

The booking is built around the aircraft rather than an airline flight number. We ask for the aircraft registration, the operator or handler, the planned landing time, passenger names and the number of bags. The desk follows the arrival and adjusts the pickup if the aircraft is early or late.

Because France is outside our own operating area, the ride is delivered by a vetted, licensed and commercially insured local chauffeur partner. It is booked, confirmed and invoiced by the Enroutz.ca desk in Toronto, so you hold one booking, one confirmation and one invoice, with one point of contact around the clock. Partner vehicles are no more than four model years old; Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach vehicles up to seven.

What Nice airport says about its Business Aviation Terminal

The airport group's business aviation page describes a dedicated terminal of 1,510 square metres that opened in March 2010. It has its own customs post and two security posts for departing passengers. The vehicle entrance has two automatic gates with a videophone and digital number-plate recognition, and pedestrian access is gated and monitored remotely.

That entrance system matters to a chauffeur. The gate lets in vehicles that are known to the system, so a car arriving without the right name on the list can lose ten minutes at the barrier. We give your handler the chauffeur's name and the vehicle's registration in advance so the gate does not become the delay.

The page lists three authorised ground handlers: AviaVIP, Signature Aviation and DC Aviation G-OPS. The licence dates on the page ran to December 2022, so the list may have changed, and we do not assume which handler you are using. Your charter paperwork will say. Tell us the handler's name and a mobile number for the handling agent on the day.

The helicopter alternative to Monaco

The same page describes a helicopter terminal that opened in November 2015, with a 60 square metre VIP lounge, a security area, four offices and a heliport with 14 helicopter stands. It lists regular Nice to Monaco helicopter services run by Blade and Heli Air Monaco.

For anyone for whom time on the ground is the only cost that matters, the helicopter is shorter than any road. We do not book helicopters, and the helicopter flight has its own booking and its own operator. What we can do is meet you at the helicopter terminal in Nice or at the Monaco heliport, as the second half of a combined trip, or drive you if the weather grounds the flights. Tell us about the helicopter booking and the chauffeur plan follows.

Distances and drive times from Nice airport

The Côte d'Azur coast road and motorway are busiest at weekday mornings and evenings, on Friday and Sunday afternoons in summer, and throughout the Festival and Grand Prix weeks. The figures below are approximate, and the booker works out the exact distance for your address.

Saint-Tropezabout 105 km (65 miles)1 hour 30 to 2 hours

For the airline arrival, including the two passenger terminals, see the Nice airport transfer page. For the destination side, the Nice and Monaco chauffeur service page covers the city, the principality and the hills behind.

Cannes-Mandelieu and Saint-Tropez: the neighbouring airfields

Nice's operator also runs two smaller airports on the coast, and both appear in the same business-aviation menu.

Cannes-Mandelieu. Its own website describes it as the second busiest business-aviation airport in France. For a Cannes destination, landing there can be much closer than landing at Nice. It is a smaller field, so its use depends on the aircraft type and the weather, and your flight department will know.

Golfe de Saint-Tropez (La Môle). Its website lists a runway of 1,071 metres by 30 metres, operations restricted to pilots with a special qualification, a requirement for 24 hours' prior notice, and authorisation for non-Schengen flights from 1 July to 15 October. Those are the airport's stated terms, and they change, so check with your handler. If your aircraft cannot use La Môle, landing at Nice and driving about 105 km (65 miles) west is the alternative, and we cover that drive.

Reserve your chauffeur

Cannes Film Festival season

The festival's own website lists the 80th edition for 11 to 22 May 2027. Over those twelve days the Croisette, the Palais des Festivals and the roads between Nice and Cannes are much busier than usual, and you should expect the busiest transfers around the opening and the closing weekend.

Our advice is simple. Book the arrival and the departure early. Tell us the hotel and the nearest street the vehicle can reach, because access to parts of the Croisette can be restricted around screenings. Allow generous time for any transfer that ends at a red-carpet event. The Cannes Film Festival page explains how we plan those days, including discreet arrivals for talent and their teams. Our VIP chauffeur page describes how discretion works. We never name clients.

Monaco Grand Prix week

Monaco in Grand Prix week is a different city. Roads close, the circuit splits the principality, and hotel entrances move. A chauffeur who knows the closures is worth more than a faster car. We ask for the hotel, the entrance you have been given, and any pass or access sticker you hold. See the Monaco Grand Prix page for how those days work. As in Cannes, the helicopter is the usual alternative for the final leg.

Meeting your aircraft: what we need

  1. The handler named in your paperwork and a mobile contact for the handling agent.
  2. The aircraft registration.
  3. The planned landing time.
  4. Passenger names, or an alias. The name-board meet-and-greet is an add-on, and the board can carry an alias for privacy.
  5. Bags, including oversize items such as golf clubs or hard cases.
  6. The destination with the exact entrance, especially in Monaco, Cap d'Antibes and Saint-Tropez, where gated villas are common.

Whether a car may drive airside to the aircraft is decided by the handler and the airport's security rules. We do not promise it. Where the handler allows it, we give them the chauffeur's name in advance; otherwise the chauffeur waits at the terminal's pickup point. Flight tracking is included on every airport pickup. Free waiting is 60 minutes after landing on international arrivals, 30 minutes on domestic arrivals and 15 minutes on other pickups; your confirmation states which applies.

Customs and entry

The airport's page states that the terminal has its own customs post. Entry rules depend on your nationality and on the Schengen rules in force on the day, and they are set by the French authorities and your handler. Please check them before you fly. We cannot advise on visas, and we do not state ETIAS requirements here because they are subject to change.

What we can do is make the next ten minutes simple. Keep passports and the handler's paperwork to hand. Tell us whether you are heading straight to the hotel or to a restaurant. If you travel with your own security team, tell us in advance so the vehicle plan matches theirs. Enroutz.ca is a chauffeur service, not a security company: no armed drivers and no bodyguards, and we work alongside a client's own security team. The executive protection transport page explains how.

How the options compare

If you are travelling alone, with one bag, and you are not in a hurry, a taxi is a perfectly good choice. The chauffeur wins when you have a group, large bags, a deadline or a requirement for privacy. The chauffeur versus rideshare guide goes into more detail.

Vehicles and extras

The Executive Sedan and First Class Sedan carry up to three passengers with two large and two cabin bags. The Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar) takes up to six passengers and five to six large bags; on narrow hill roads above the coast we may suggest a smaller vehicle. The Executive Sprinter carries up to twelve, and mini-coaches and coaches (20 to 56 seats) are available on request. Maybach, Rolls-Royce, stretch limousine and armoured vehicles are on request, with availability confirmed at booking. In Europe, vehicles are provided by local partners, and the exact model is confirmed at booking. See the fleet page.

Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request. Most vehicles carry Wi-Fi, water and phone chargers. Chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, and NDAs are signed on request. We never promise alcohol on board; local law applies.

Booking from Toronto

Use the booker, enter your pickup anywhere in the world, and the desk confirms a fixed quote. For the other end of a Riviera trip, see the Toronto FBO page and the black car service in Toronto. For other European business-aviation terminals, the Le Bourget page and the Farnborough page cover Paris and London. The Europe hub and the private aviation hub list the rest.

Cancellation terms: more than 72 hours' notice, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. Large events and conventions, which include Festival and Grand Prix weeks, may carry a different deadline, stated on the confirmation.
