Pearson airport hotels transfer: when a short stay near the runway is the right plan
Most people who book a night near the airport have a reason. They land late and want a bed before a morning meeting. They leave at six and do not want to cross the city in the dark. They are exhibiting at a show in one of the large halls nearby, or they have a layover long enough to need a room, but not long enough to see the city. For each of those plans, a Pearson airport hotels transfer from Enroutz.ca fills the gaps that a hotel shuttle leaves: a ride into downtown for dinner, a late return, a move between two hotels, a run to a trade show hall or a pickup for a client who is not staying where you are.
The Toronto desk of Enroutz.ca dispatches its own fleet and chauffeurs. The online booker quotes a fixed fare for the exact addresses and vehicle before payment. Guests arriving from the United States, Europe and the Middle East book before they fly and receive a written confirmation.
Which hotels are on the airport strip?
The airport area contains a cluster of international-brand hotels, including properties under the Sheraton, Marriott and Hilton names, along with smaller business hotels and extended-stay properties on the roads that surround the airport. Because ownership, branding and walkway connections change from time to time, we do not publish a list of which hotel connects to which terminal. Check the hotel's own website for its current address, its shuttle times and whether it offers an indoor link to a terminal.

What does not change is the geography. The hotels sit within a few minutes' drive of Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, close to Highway 427, Highway 401 and Airport Road, and about 27 km from downtown Toronto. Whichever hotel you choose, our booker accepts it by name, and the chauffeur arrives at the correct entrance.
How far is downtown Toronto from the airport hotels?

Downtown Toronto is about 27 km from most Pearson airport hotels. The drive normally takes 30 to 50 minutes outside peak hours, and 60 to 90 minutes in the weekday rush. The airport terminals themselves are a short drive from the hotels.
That range is wide because the road from the airport to the downtown core crosses some of the busiest highway interchanges in Canada. Highway 401 and the Gardiner Expressway into downtown both back up before and after the working day. Your chauffeur watches the live conditions and chooses the route at pickup.
If you are staying at the airport and want dinner downtown, plan the return trip carefully. A 9:00 pm dinner ending at 11:00 gives a quick drive back; a 5:30 pm departure towards the airport can take twice as long.
Hotel to terminal: should you use the shuttle or a car?
For the short hop between the hotel and your terminal, a hotel shuttle is often the best option. Many airport hotels run scheduled shuttles, and the hotels themselves publish the times. Use them when your schedule matches theirs and you have two bags or fewer.

A private chauffeur is better when:
- Your flight is outside the shuttle's operating hours, including the first departures of the morning.
- You are travelling as a group of four or more with matched luggage.
- You need a specific terminal and a precise time, such as a family connection.
- You are a client or executive who prefers a named driver.
- You are making an unusual move, such as from one airport hotel to another or from a hotel to a trade show.
Other pickups include 15 minutes of free waiting from the scheduled time, and a message tells you when the car is in position.
Comparison: the real ways to move between the airport strip and downtown

| Option | Typical time | Cost note | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hotel shuttle to terminal, then UP Express | Shuttle time plus about 28 minutes of train per the operator | Lowest; as of 2026 the adult one-way UP Express fare is $12.35 | Light travellers going downtown on a daytime schedule |
| Taxi | 30 to 60 minutes | Metered | Unplanned journeys |
| Rideshare | 30 to 60 minutes plus waiting | Surge-priced at peak times | Short notice |
| Rental car | Variable | Daily rate plus parking and fuel | Visitors touring beyond Toronto |
| Private chauffeur from Enroutz.ca | 30 to 50 minutes | Fixed fare via booker | Late nights, groups, heavy luggage, early departures, evening dinners downtown |
The honest recommendation for a solo traveller going downtown on a weekday afternoon is the train. The UP Express site lists Pearson, Weston, Mount Dennis, Bloor and Union as its stations. For a late dinner and a return to the airport hotel after midnight, a pre-booked car is simpler. Our chauffeur versus rideshare guide compares all of them.
Trade shows near the airport
Two large exhibition venues lie within easy reach of the airport strip, and both generate steady demand for transfers.
- The International Centre, Mississauga. The venue lists its address as 6900 Airport Road, Mississauga, and says on its website that it offers more than 500,000 square feet of exhibition space and complimentary parking. It describes itself as minutes from Toronto Pearson. See the International Centre page for the transport plan.
- Toronto Congress Centre. The centre's website gives the address as 650 Dixon Road, Toronto, M9W 1J1. Our Toronto Congress Centre page covers show-day movements.
For exhibitors, the pattern is consistent: a crew arrives the day before, cases move from the airport or a courier depot to the hall, and the team returns to the hotel each evening. A Luxury SUV or an Executive Sprinter handles most booth crews. For visiting buyers, a First Class Sedan or an Executive Sedan between the hotel and the hall avoids the cost of parking and the loss of time. See the trade show transportation page and the trade shows hub.
Large events and conventions may carry a different cancellation deadline, stated on your confirmation.
The arrival night: what a long-haul traveller needs
If you are arriving on an overnight flight from London or Dubai and your hotel is near the airport, the best-run arrival is nearly invisible. You land, clear immigration, collect your bag, and find a person holding your name, or an alias, in arrivals. The chauffeur walks you to the car and takes you to the hotel in a matter of minutes. International arrivals include 60 minutes of free waiting after landing, which covers a slow immigration queue and baggage delays. Domestic arrivals include 30.
Before you travel, check what you need to enter Canada. The Government of Canada's eTA page lists a CAN$7 application fee as of 2026. Our travelling to Toronto guide covers documents and seasons, and the Toronto airport transfer page describes the arrival from the visitor's side.
Early departures: the 5:30 am problem
An early flight is the most common reason for an airport hotel, and the transfer itself is trivial. The challenge is making sure the right car is outside at the right time. Book the ride when you book the room, and enter the terminal and the time. The chauffeur is at the hotel entrance at the agreed minute, and you receive a message when the car is in position. A hotel pickup includes 15 minutes of free waiting.
Experienced travellers do three things the night before: they set two alarms, they check in online and print or save the boarding pass, and they confirm the terminal. Pearson has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and your airline determines which one you use. The Pearson airport limo page explains the layout.
Vehicle choices
| Party | Best class | Capacity |
|---|---|---|
| One traveller | Executive Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CT6 or Lyriq or similar) | Up to 3, 2 large and 2 cabin bags |
| Executive or client | First Class Sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar) | Up to 3, 2 large and 2 cabin bags |
| Family or booth crew | Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon Denali or similar) | Up to 6, 5 to 6 large bags |
| Team or sports squad | Executive Sprinter (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter) | Up to 12, 12 bags |
| Large delegation | Mini-coach or coach | 20 to 56 seats, on request |
Classes are offered as "or similar", and the exact model is confirmed at booking. The fleet page shows the line-up, and the group transportation page covers multiple vehicles.
Meet and greet, and other add-ons
If your arrival is complicated, such as a family with a stroller, a delegation with 20 bags or a guest who needs a quiet exit, add a name-board meet and greet. The greeter waits inside arrivals with a board, and an alias name can appear for privacy. The meet and greet service page explains how it works. Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request at booking, and most vehicles carry water, phone chargers and Wi-Fi.
Corporate travel and crews
Companies that send staff to the airport strip often need a clean paper trail. Corporate accounts are invoiced monthly, with cost-centre references on each ride; see the corporate accounts page and the corporate chauffeur service page. For meetings in the airport corridor, an hourly booking lets the driver wait; see hourly chauffeur service.
Discretion
Airport hotels are used by travelling performers, athletes and executives who value an easy exit. Enroutz.ca takes bookings under an alias, signs NDAs on request and instructs chauffeurs not to photograph clients or post about trips. We are a chauffeur service and not a security company, so there are no armed drivers or bodyguards; we work alongside a client's own team.
Where to stay instead, and where to go next
If you want to stay downtown instead, the hotels hub lists the Toronto addresses we serve, including the Fairmont Royal York beside Union Station and the Hotel X Toronto page at Exhibition Place. For the airport itself, see the airports hub and the Mississauga car service page. For trips beyond Toronto, enter any pickup worldwide in the booker. The desk confirms a fixed quote and passes the ride to a local chauffeur partner who is vetted, licensed and commercially insured.
A worked example: a three-day trade-show stay
Picture a buyer who lands from Europe on a Monday evening, spends Tuesday at a show on Airport Road or Dixon Road, and flies out early on Wednesday.
On Monday, a chauffeur meets the flight and the hotel is a few minutes away. On Tuesday, give the desk the show name and the entrance printed on your badge or load-in letter, and book a morning run to the hall. If the evening includes dinner downtown, remember the road figures: about 27 km, 30 to 50 minutes outside peak hours, and 60 to 90 in the weekday rush. Reserving the return leg alongside the outbound one means the car is waiting when dinner ends.
On Wednesday, the pickup sits outside the hotel at the minute you set, with 15 minutes of free waiting. Ask the hotel whether it can hold your bags if you check out before a late flight, and confirm your terminal the night before.
For a crew of several people, send the desk one message listing every arrival and every hall run, so each leg is matched to the right vehicle.
Frequently asked questions
Which hotels are near Pearson Airport?
The airport strip includes international-brand hotels and smaller business hotels within a few minutes' drive of Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Check the hotel's own website for its current address, shuttle times and any walkway to a terminal.
How far are the airport hotels from downtown Toronto?
About 27 km. The drive takes 30 to 50 minutes outside peak hours and can take 60 to 90 minutes in the weekday rush.
Is a hotel shuttle better than a private car?
For a short hop to a terminal with light luggage, the hotel shuttle is usually the better choice. A private chauffeur is better outside shuttle hours, for groups, with heavy luggage or when you need an exact time.
Can you take me to a trade show at The International Centre or the Toronto Congress Centre?
Yes. The International Centre is at 6900 Airport Road, Mississauga, and the Toronto Congress Centre is at 650 Dixon Road. Book a transfer or an hourly day, and tell the desk the show name.
Can you meet me inside arrivals?
Yes. A name-board meet and greet is available as an add-on, and an alias can appear on the board for privacy.
What is the cancellation policy?
More than 72 hours' notice carries no charge. At 72 hours or less it is 10%, at 48 hours or less it is 50%, and at 24 hours or less or a no-show it is 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. Events and conventions of a certain size may carry their own deadline, given on your confirmation.
Is the fare fixed?
Yes. The booker shows a fixed fare for your exact addresses and vehicle class before you pay.
Can you provide armed drivers or bodyguards?
No. We are a chauffeur operation, not a security firm.
